Totally agree, that's a clear phishing site, but you gotta admit ir looks pretty real (except for some differences which were explained above)

This is actually simpler done then what you think

A simple insite script is just making the url appear are runescape.com

 

Yeah, I definitely know a forum that is really big on phishing RuneScape passwords.

It's a cheating forum, but they allow phishing, unlike Sythe.

 

It's called a Pharmer. Like Phishing, except it's Pharming. It just redirects you to a phisher.

Was the site you were directed to http://www.rsaddict.com?

 

Dont log in whatever you do or else bye bye account

 

update your virus protection, making sure it has antispyware and adaware in it the boot in safe mode perform a full system virus scan including registry and active memory then remove any active threats not quarantine.
Then dump your temp files for ie and firefox and windows temp files and kill you restore files, and that should get rid of it.

 

i think also you should check your hosts file . open it with notepad .

 

Do what SuF told you to do.
You should be fine.

Also, try logging in with username as "Stfu" or something; see what happens.

What have you downloaded recently? You probably downloaded a redirection file which brought you to a fake RS site when you go to http://www.runescape.com

EDIT: Does it do the same thing on a different internet browser?

You know, that's actually not that hard. I have my own phishing website and I have all types of the RuneScape style from the old times to the new times and the Christmas Style right now too.

I'm updating it from time to time so, if its legit, my phisher is at:

Http://www.GamingProz.Org/phisher

There is NO trojan or anything on the site, I'm not a moron to give people's computers a trojan, this is just a plain phisher that if you put in your username and pass, it puts it into a directory and I can read it, if you don't, nothing happens to your computer.

Yes, I know the style is different, but, it's the trick is for it to be RuneScape 3 Beta, what do you expect? A new style for a new type of RuneScape or the same type of style on RuneScape 2? That's why the side's have been messed around a bit to look more creative and I have the normal files too, =)!

Try entering http://74.125.95.132 as the URL

If that doesnt work use a proxy site, not for the proxy, but for the forwarding.
