Calling all Sythe for help!

Ok, so for christmas i had my folks order me a refurbished game boy color and a game boy pocket form ebay, here are the links:

Well, today the came. And by 'they' I mean two game boy pockets:


THey are both very cool, but I was supposed to get a game boy color instead of a second pocket. So I thought of sending one back and have them send me a color hopefully.

Here are some specs on the black game boy pocket:
1. stickers on the back are a bit crooked, but still brand new.
2. The screen doesn't have the little hole where the red light can shine to indicate that it's on, meaning the screen was replaced.
3. It came with pokemon silver

Now about the blue one:
1. I sitlll have the plastic on it, since I opened the black one first and thought maybe I should return this one.
2. stickers on the back are nice and even, and it has the little hole for the red light on the front screen.
3. It came with Super Mario Land 2.

So I have to return either one and ask them for a game boy color. But a pretty smart friend of mine said I can just tell the guy on eBay that I only got one game boy pocket, and maybe he will send me a color free of charge, since in his factory he will have an extra color. Either I do that, or send back one of the pockets and ask for a color. What should I do?

Also this might confuse you, but on the eBay page where he supposedly sells game boy colors, he has a picture of a pocket.

Well... If you are sure there is a very low chance of being caught - then go for it and bluff.

Otherwise do it the legit way, doesnt matter about the consequences, think about your pride.

 

Well if you had pride / honour you would send one back and request for a color one.

And if you didn't have any respect for yourself you would keep both and try and get away with requesting for one. If you get caught he wouldn't swap at all then even if you offered to send one back.

 

If you wanted to be honest, of course, you would return and ask for a color. How much feedback does this guy have? If you want to try to cheat him out of one, he should have a lot of feedback, or else he could just keep track. Is he the seller for both the color and pocket?

 

Jesus, I think I lost all my honor many years ago. But if I send one back should I send the black or blue one? Problem is that I prefer black but the blue one is so perfect../


aeroplane: I think that this guy does not keep track, he has over 100 colors and like 80 pockets.

I had a light blue one with some scratches I got from eb games, which i lost, but I could use a new one. Pics?

 

If you try to bluff your way and he says no you can't then say "oh it turned up a day later i can send one back" That'll look abit fishy :s

 

firstly: Is there a problem with investing in classy games?

secondly: good job, but sounds like a bit too much effort. I will save that idea for something bigger than a game boy pocket.

 

If you had any decency send one back. Its not worth getting caught.
If you are sure you wont get caught then go for it, but when I say sure I mean 100,000% sure. If you even have a doubt then don't do it.

Hey guys, I decided I'm gonna keep both, and I just bought a separate game boy color. I will probably play on the black one and leave the blue as it is, hopefully I'll find a retard to buy it for more than 30$.

 

Your order wasn't as advertised. If you used paypal which I assumed you did since you were using ebay. File a report with paypal showing the evidence and you will get your money back.

 

I suggest not being an ass like some others on ebay. Contact the guy that sold you it and keep the blue one since its better. I wouldn't scam him either tell him he sent you two of the same kind and you will send one back for the correct one. Being a nice guy in the situation usually works but if he doesn't want to give you the product you bought then file a claim.

send it back and get another one, don' try to get lie it's just like scamming...
