What've you done with your jailbroken iphone/ipod touch?

    Installed any themes?
Downloaded awesome apps (not just games, like SwirlyMMS and such)?
    etc.

Me, personally, i've installed TONNES of apps, too many to name, my favourite is definately SBSettings as it makes it easy to control what goes on in the background and what resources are available.

I've also created my own theme for the iphone, here's some pics:

    (Like my theme?)

What've you done with your jailbroken iphone/ipod touch?

Is the iTouch 2g able to be jailbroken?

If so, what's the best way to go about it?

I haven't jailbroken my iPhone yet, I was interested at first but I heard it is really bothersome when you want to update your music.
    Whats your opinion on that?
Also, if its not bothersome at all what would you say are the down sides

Theres not really any downsides to jailbreaking.
But theres not much point to it unless you have wifi, which I don't.

Updating music? Naa, you just sync with itunes as normal, the only annoyance is when a new iphone software update comes, you need to re-jailbreak and re-install all your jailbreak applications, but there's a command-line way of doing it automatically and easily.

I also believe the benefits DEFINATELY outweight that one down side, using any network, apps that can hook into the iphone's springboard to do things app store apps can't do, ability to skin the iphone, more freedom and control over your phone, there's just no end to it... oh, and you can use MMS on a jailbroken iphone :)

Wrong, there are ways to copy paste, there's many jailbroken apps to do it, and javascript bookmarks in safari to give the functionality.

Thedeathdealer. Download Installous off of Cydia and you can download and install cracked apps straight to your ipod. Also your theme is gay. I have Buuf2

Here's a tip: If you haven't already, go to Cydia, then add http://cydia.hackulo.us as a source. Then search and download Installous. You can get any app in the App Store for free :)

But I've unlocked my iPhone, helped my friend make a theme and hosted it on ModMyI (Snowy if you care :))

Also TDD, how come your slide to unlock is so big? You should just widen it a bit and make it a tap to unlock.

I have also learned about SSH, changing a bunch of stuff around like the 'Slide to Unlock' and other things. :)

What've you done with your jailbroken iphone/ipod touch?

Buuf^2 isn't too bad, but i'd not want it on my phone :p

yes and no, you can jailbreak the filesystem, but it can't be network jailbroken until new years

I used to have Installous on either 1.1.4 or 2.1, I can't remmember which firmware, and it never worked so I'm not going to bother with it, I prefer just downloading them to my PC from appulo.us and SSHing them to the phone.

My slider is so big because I got sick of the long sliding needed to unlock, so I made it easier to unlock, whilst keeping the security of the slider so it doesn't acidentally get tapped - that's why I don't want a tap-to-unlock.

I also suggest if you all haven't, is download and install SBSettings from Cydia, and also get the Processes add-on for it, it's a bloody useful app.

The newest Installous is a tremendous improvement and I haven't had a single problem with it

What've you done with your jailbroken iphone/ipod touch?

That's pretty much what Installous is, a redirection to appulo.us, and then you can install it too :)

    Makes sense.

I just installed - very useful, clever with the no icon :) - but I hid every single icon, and I think I have to restore my iPhone :p

EDIT: Also, did you host your theme on Cydia? It looks nice.

I can't say I like the extreme brightness, not really my thing, but can you tell me where you got the top bar that matches mine? I couldn't find the theme it was from so made my own with it.

Not yet, i'll upload a full theme when i'm finished with it.
