So i was doing a name change today which has been pro longed by Assassin for the past 3-5 days of him ignoring me and the other trader several times and then finally today he wants to do it and he says the account is banned and lost the money so i get nothing now.

before everything was discussed with the name swap i asked multiple times if the money was 100% guaranteed to be given to me in any circumstance and that was agreed upon by myself and Assassin.
Assassin is now telling me that it is not covered by his insurance because the account got banned and nothing he can do yet he promised everything 100%.

Assassin has agreed to transfer the display name from my account to another users account. He has taken the snipe responsibility if it was to be sniped during the trade, he would pay the worth of the name to me. In doing so Assassin is also middlemanning the trade, he takes the GP from the other user onto his own account. Once he has received the money from the buyer, he is given access to my account and the other users account to transfer the name. After he transferred the name, his account which had the GP was banned for RWT. As he also is the middleman of the trade, the money owed to me now should be paid. Whether or not his account with the said funds is now banned, the money should still be owed to me.

 

Hey Man. What happened here was very unfortunate. But this is one of the risks of conducting these kind of trades. You knew the risk going into this and are well aware of what could happen. I NEVER stated anywhere that I was responsible should there be an RWT ban on my account. This isn't my fault nor your nor Oxxy's. Sad to say Oxxy's main has gotten banned too for trading me the Wealth so we are all loosing out here. I had swapped the name and upon trying to log back in to pay you out, I noticed I had been banned. My Middleman service is specifically for Name Snipe Responsibility. Not as a responsibility as a whole in the sense that I never specifically stated I will be taking responsibility for RWT bans. I do state this in my MM thread as well that I am only responsible for name not being sniped. You even acknowledge it here. The name was not sniped and it ended up on @Osrs_Oxxy account despite it being one of the riskiest names you could ever transfer.



You know the risks of trading around large sums of GP and so do I. I sadly lost out on my 325m Fee as well, tho I understand your loss was greater and I am so sorry for that man, but it is out of my reach and well anyone's reach for that matter.

Thanks for posting above so it is easier to grasp that I was referring to snipe responsibility. My Copy-pasta that you see at the bottom is in reference to name snipes as can be seen by the first sentence. I was specifically taking responsibility for name snipes as that is the main reason you needed me to MM in the first place.

 

I didn't realize it was a given that needed to be included. The issue was not even discussed between both parties. But is it automatically my responsibility now even though it wasn't discussed because that seems quite unfair man. That is part of the trade and anyone conducting large trades like this is aware of the risk.

If I recall in past reports on Sythe when this occurred, even if they didn't state it anywhere, they wouldn't be responsible due to the fact that everyone knows the risk of doing large trades like this involving large sums of money like this and that this can happen sometimes. I don't see how its automatically on me just because it wasn't talked about. I didn't mention it because in over 300+ trades I have MMd'd this has not happened a SINGLE time. And I am actually an active MM unlike most others atm and conduct trades on a daily basis and my vouches speak for it Assassin's Vouches

 

@ABM Either way I remember reports like these have been closed in the past. The ONLY T.O.S they agreed to and accepted was the that Snipe Responsibility, which is what I specialize in and I did despite the bans. The name ended up on @Osrs_Oxxy account. I did loose my fee for moving such a tough/snipe prone name as did Pink of his gold. In My T.O.S it SPECIFICALLY States that I am only responsible for snipes and NOT anything else in the 2nd sentence of my T.O.S. This was specifically not agreed on because we did not go through my MM thread. But my question is RWT bans everyone knows about and when doing a trade like this one its an OBVIOUS CONCERN all the time. So why do I have to specifically state that when its a clear given do I have to lay out each and every possibility of what can go wrong in a trade even with names in which there are MANY MANY things that can go wrong? This will just give scammers ideas to fuck over people and with names there are many loopholes people can find and many of them are out of the MM's control.

In my copy-pasta I state I am taking responsibility for snipes and he mistook it because I said "Since I am taking responsibility" and took my words out of context. I was referring to snipe responsibility which is clear if you read the whole post, I was not not referring to any other kind responsibility and that is for good reason since there are countless loopholes within Name Sales in general and for that reason most Middlemen avoid it all-together. I didn't realize I needed to state each problem specifically or else it's my fault and still think its unfair to have the blame put on me because I didn't specifically state it when it was definitely assumed. He accepted I wasn't responsible for any other issues besides getting the name on the account itself. I understand the point of Middlemanning is ensuring they get the gold but that is assumed with Middlemanning of course and doesn't need to be specifically stated before every trade, and this should be assumed as well with the risks of RWT bans and everyone knows no one is truly safe from that. I understand this was a very big loss, but putting the blame on me doesn't seem right. Thanks

 

After getting several inboxes on Sythe and discord I believe that these kind of things have happened a bit to often with these kinds of trades and The TOS have not been correctly explained to allow users to jump through their own loopholes.
When speaking with Assassin about his TOS his copy-pasta is vague and doesn’t explain in depth possibilities that could go wrong with the trade. After Assassin telling me countless times that he was taking “responsibility” for any lost money. Assassin used these words to persuade me that I was safe in his hands and that I had nothing to worry about as I was re assured I would have my money as soon as the name was transferred.

 

I Ensured you would get the name put onto your account. I Never Said I would be Responsible for Lost Money specifically, So Please Stop lying I never mentioned anything like that and you know the risks that come with these trades. And not a single time has a user been banned during a MM in over 300+ Trades I have conducted. I LOVE that you say that people have DM'd you saying this stuff can happen etc and you pretend like you don't know how these trades work lol you know that is a lie. In no way am I jumping through my own loopholes. The words I used to persuade or to more put you at ease was to ensure the name would NOT be sniped WHICH IT DIDN'T. You said it, these things happen a lot yourself and you shouldn't expect a full refund just because I didn't specifically state EVERY SINGLE THING when you obviously are fully aware, you've been a Sythe member since 07, legit 11 Years longer than I on Sythe and based on your Sythe history you have RWT'd a lot/done trades involving RSGP and the fact you pretend like you don't know the risks/are clueless is bull we can all see through that man...

 

This was an unfortunate decision to have to make, sadly we do have to hold assassin liable for the rwt ban loss here. His tos were simply not clear and made no mention of rwt ban responsibility. Assassin is in the process of repaying the user now.

I don't fully agree with the ruling but I understand why it was made. Money has been repaid. Am not too phased with owing 1.3b. Shit luck for me but it happens. Please close this when you can mods. Thanks
