Unactive Moderators

I admit we have some inactive moderators.

we need more, and need to get rid of the inactive ones. Otherwise I think we are doing fine in the community.

 

1. As if you'd know how many hours they are on, they commit a shitload of time to this site and are VERY friendly, unlike other sites that don't give a shit.

2. Where do you get your facts from?

What does posting in off-topic have to do with anything? It's for OFF-TOPIC/ general conversation... your saying that moderator shouldn't be allow to post in a general conversation because they are a market mod? Another smart comment.

Report a spammer is done by sectional moderator, they do a great job, some reports take time; and are done properly; instead of done halfed assed.. then you'd be whining you got infractions that you shouldn't have.

Report a scammer reports... take approx 5-10 depending on the report, ALSO that doesn't count the time you spend looking at stupid threads with text logs and other usless shit. Out of 20 pages of the report a scammer, we can properly act on ... 4/5 pages worth . . . So that isn't a lot and they take time, so staff that have time on the weekend try and get in and clean them up. This section can also be used to do a search for users and you guys can make your own decision; it's called COMMON SENSE, something you are serverly lacking.

You have no idea what the moderators do, it's stupid members like you that have nothing better to do than try and have a go at staff, then they have to sit here and defend themselves from fuckwits like yourself.

Get a life, it's a volunteered job and isn't the only thing in their lifes. Go back to your wannabe youtube site. Kthnxbai.

you must understand moderators have a life outside of sythe m8t u really need to understand this becuse they have exams and gf and especially at this time of year as its chrismas atm.

 

If the staff belive the mods are inactive they will be demodded untill then forget about them

I never see a Moderator in the "Runescape" section, but there is 6 Moderators assigned. You know yourself there is some really bad inactive Moderators, but you are to busy defending them to realize yourself, and it's easy to Moderate those section. What's the point of having 6 Moderators on 1 forum if they don't even Moderate it. I'm not a dumbass, and you don't have to flame me, I know you won't get in trouble for flaming me, but I bet if i flamed you I would have gotten infracted.

there should be a inactive sweep for mods so if a mod is inactive they get a warning then after being inactive they loose there mod..

 

Someone needs to do something about the report scammer section, theirs just pages here and their unfilled... ro0m 4o9 needs to be banned. It's sad.

you cannot seriously expect each moderator too put in 2-3 hours a day, if you do your a fucking tool. \

And oh i am so sorry that we as staff take time off occasionally too live our lives. how OUTRAGEOUS. just so you know we ask before going on hols ok.

and maybe if we didnt get so many stupid fucking repeated RaS reports we would do them... over 75% of the reports aren't worth looking at.

Mods have lives too.

 

Inactivity has always been a problem on the staff, and it's not going to change. Simply because moderators are hard to replace, and there aren't many people that are moderator material. So, you will just have to deal with the inactive staff.

 

This, and the fact that every Moderator we've ever had except one glaring exception has had an activity/moderating level going like this:

First you get modded. For the first few weeks, you're SO active!
After that, you slow down to a more stable/medium pace!
Finally, you end up at your constant minimum.

 

well if ur only doing the bare minimum surely that moderator spot could be given to someone who will be active?

Then they should only remain as moderator only until one has proven themselves worthy enough to be chosen.

 

I don't know if you've ever actually given any thought to this or not, but our Moderators actually do a bloody good job.

 

Yes, I'm merely stating when they have reached extreme inactivity they should be replaced, but only when a suitable replacment has been chosen.
