    Laptop problem

I recently purchased a dell latitude d610 laptop online. I received it today and everything was fine. I plugged it in immediately and started messing around with it and stuff. Later i tried to move it to a different room and when i unplugged it it shut down immediately. So i was like "mkaay. i guess it didnt charge enough" so i let it charge for 10 minutes thinking it would at least come on for a few seconds or something and it didnt power on. I plugged it back in around 10 eastern and unplugged it 15 minutes ago. Still no power. Any ideas?

Contact your computer's manufacturer. Check everywhere for any liquid, the battery may have leaked. Open up the battery compartment and check that for liquid from the battery too.

I did that earlier. Only thing in the battery place is some metal built into the computer. Still doesn't work unless plugged in.

Does it not get any power at all or is it just the monitor doesn't power up? I understand it's a laptop, but sometimes people accidentally press a few keys, and BAM, monitor isn't set up... but if that's the case all you have to do is hit CTRL + F10 on power up I believe, check to make sure, it changes from BIOS to BIOS

Ummmm, you are sure you have a battery?

    Is it running Vista?

When you unplug it, the screen goes black, and shuts off like a desktop that just got unplugged?

Just making sure that it is brand new? You may have been ripped off if it was second hand since it may have been a problem the seller knew about...

    Let us know :)
