Scar and RSBot

I like RSBot a lot more than SCAR. I downloaded SCAR and couldn't get any script to work properly, then I tried RSBot and so far every single script has ran without bugging (putting me in the corner for an hour, not running during combat events, etc.)

 

Dude honestly you just need to stop talking.

RSBot is made for leechers like yourself. Go there download the bot and download the scripts and bam, good to go.

SCAR/SRL has 100% better support than RSBot and that is a fact. Very few people at RSBot know how the actual bot works hence can't give great support. Over at SRL many many people know the in and outs of both SRL and SCAR (including myself) which makes us have a bigger and better support group. RSBot is not even close to being more popular man...RSBot has 226 users right now because of their constant up and down of the website (great support, right?) Over at SRL we have 30,000+ members and climbing everyday...

Stats don't lie.

 

I found RSBot much easier to get used to...The scripts were extremely easy to install aswell.

I found that RSBot ad SCAR were fairly equal, the only difference i can was the communities. RSBot was more inviting, but the site was often hacked which causes immense frustration, and showed GAY PORN . SCAR gave better support though.

 

How was RSBot more inviting? Care to elaborate?

 

I found it the opposite. I tried learning Java and scripting rsbot, but no one there cared to help/teach, and the only remarks i recieved we're very sarcastic.

Also, there forums aren't as well organized as SRL's imo. There tuts are mixed with there scripting help, and all in all i just find the overall laayout of RSBot to be a tad confusing.

Err... Do you even know what RSBot is? You prefer SCAR because Sythe is nice? RSBot isn't free? Lol!

I use RSBot primarily, but I honestly don't think the two are comparable. SCAR has a great legacy, being bought by Freddy1990 from Kaitnieks, the creator of the infamous AutoRune. RSBot is much newer. One thing which I think is neat is the fact that you get AntiBans and AntiRandoms separately, so that they don't need to be coded into the script. I once wrote a SCAR Script over at SRL-Forums, and I thought that it was vey user-friendly. I use RSBot more than SCAR, but they are equals with SCAR having the greater legacy.

who really cares about the technicalities related to scars if it takes forever to set it up anyways

 

Download SCAR and SVN. Options -> Check Out. Sure does take forever to setup.

Or maybe your one of those leechers that don't want to actually learn anything...just a thought?

 

Well, here's what I think after having tried out Scar.

I have used Narcle's AutoFighter with S.M.A.R.T and was very unimpressed.
S.M.A.R.T sucks no offence, it doesn't even start compared to RSBot.

Exactly when the S.M.A.R.T client opens up you have to minimize it and once you maximize it again it stops working so if I want to check how my character is doing or if the script is even running fine I have to stop the literally stop the script.

Also after an hour or so I never came back on my pc to find out that my character is still autoing because the script stopped working for whatever reason, this never happened to me on RSBot.

Tbh I expected Scar with S.M.A.R.T to perform much better than I predicted but I'm extremely dissapointed.

Great community,Great scripts and works properly and i can run over a week and have no problem.

 

SMART's been fixed. And Narcles autofighth can work days without stopping, i have 48 hour proggies from his script. You just need to learn how to auto correctly...

 

Trust me I'm sure that I was autoing correctly.

The Script worked quite good (I wouldn't say perfectly because of a few things that bothered me) for about an hour or two, but after I come back on my PC I sometimes find out that my character is logged off because of an anti-random, sometimes I find some kind of Socket Error, or find my character logged off with the script stopped.

Btw I'm not blaiming Narcle's script for the above problems, far from it.
His script is a master piece but Scar is just not that accurate compared to RSBot and the approach that Scar is taking towards autoing is somewhat out dated even though Freddy1990 has updated Scar and even though S.M.A.R.T came out for Scar (which btw doesn't even start with RSBot)...

With any RSBot combat script I experience no problems whatsoever and manage to auto overnight and when I come back to check RSBot in the morning I always find my character still autoing.

Btw have you ever tried RSBot yourself?
If not then you should definitely give RSBot a shot, but be warned, once you try out RSBot you'll never go back

 

Please go back to page 4 and show me a better progress report than what I posted come from RSBot.

SCAR doesn't do any autoing in an 'outdated' fashion at all. Especially with reflection now. Freddy is also CONSTANTLY updated SCAR and the new SCAR (currently in beta stages) is a pretty much new rewrite and will have a great UI and will be faster.

Overnight is not that long to auto. Everytime I auto with my scripts I have them going from update to update (1 week) straight all on SCAR with 1 player. Not many RSBot scripts can do that.

 

I have not used scar, but RSBOT will own it. No matter what.

SRL forums are much more inviting, much better board, and much higher uptime. Lack of scripts goes without saying but scar is designed to be used more by coders scripting there own scripts... Whereas rsbot is for inexperienced coders to get some fast levels.

Im an inexperienced coder admittedly, which is why im currently coding my own rsbot scripts, and once achieved that will go onto SRL as it has 'POTENTIAL' to be 'BETTER'
