Do you HONESTLY believe in God?

I believe the majority of people believe in a higher power but what that is many people don't know.. obviously I have my belief but I won't preach that here.

What I will say is that do research and educate yourself and be open minded and pray to that higher power you believe in to guide you and you will find yourself where you want to be!

 

I'm assuming you don't know that "Something For All" is specifically a debate forum. If you make a post, you're fair game.

 

I never say I do or don't, I'll believe it when I see it. Only time will tell truly.

 

Don't believe in christianity, all of them were druggies and alcoholics back then who were bored as fuck and had no clue what the fuck the earth was and their knowledge was minimal of everything (even our knowledge is minimal, but not as much) Christianity is good in a way that can teach you to live a better life; in some aspects, Christianity is a good benefit to our society. But overall, its all bs with the heaven just a way to give other people faith into doing better instead of doing nothing

 

I don’t see myself as a religious person at all but this whole topic about god just seems unknown to humans. There are a lot things we don’t know about god, especially does god, even exist I personally don’t know much about god, but I am open to learn more about God.

Long answer:

Absolutely not in the way He is perceived. People think there is a God, an almighty being residing over the heavens and all, however I personally think it's much deeper than that.

I don't believe God is a person, an angel, or anything else. I think if there is a God, it's the universe itself or has to do with the universe itself. With the theories of the Big Bang and all being the epicentre of all creation, which is something I personally subscribe to - I believe everything being created from nothing in itself being a form of art that could have possibly been triggered by something greater, but could also not be the case.

God is absolutely not the way he is perceived in the bible. It's much, much deeper than that and there's already no evidence to begin with, the bible itself supposedly being written by narcissists from way back in the day who wanted a new power to control people. That is what I believe religion is personally, and if there is a God, I doubt he would be very fond of that anyways. That is how I see things. God is a being that is supposed to be revered in its own unique way no matter your religion. I believe things are meant to be the way they are, and if we know nothing about God now, it's for a reason. Perhaps he just doesn't exist, or at least, not in the way we think he does.

I don't think God is a "he" either. I think "he" is simply... the void. For lack of a better term. Something out there triggered something that started all this creation, time is a wondrous concept and perhaps there's been something bigger out there since the beginning of time, but I do not think it's a single being, rather I think it's all of the unexplained around us. Perhaps we really are just someone else's playthings.

Really, I don't know. But nobody else knows either. There's no definitive proof of anything other than we're on some vaguely-spherical ball of cosmic space matter rotating around this massive starry ball of gas with millions of other balls of gas being observable in our universe. That knowledge, to me, is all that matters.

 

I often call out Christians on many of their viewpoints, and I try to be fair, so - why do you think that "all of them" were druggies/alcoholics/bored people? I only ask because you say it with such confidence.

The only, ONLY thing that I want to point out about your post is that no scientist is seriously advocating the creation of something from nothing. Beyond that, I have no argument with your view.

 

Oh yes I'm aware, I just think it's a possibility.

I dont believe in god, if anything i believe in science and the big bang theory. I believed when i was younger, but that was only out of fear I realized as I got older. The fear of going to hell for not believing, and that's not a real reason to believe. As far as what came before the big bang. just like your banned self, I have no idea. It gives me anxiety sometimes thinking about something so inconceivable lol.

 

With all respect for the believers, I do not believe in God. Having all this maliciousness in the world and nothing Is being solved by a high "superior", does not fit on a "world creator". Also, the Human was created by God on his image and then Adam and Eve bite the apple and basically, God gave up on trying to create his perfect world without any malicious or knowledge. Maybe, God was not that good as they refer on the bible. It will be a mystery for the rest of our lives!
