Mazadar scammed on sale of HCIM

Explanation of the trade: Mazadar claimed to be selling his 2100+ ttl ironman. After agreeing to sell it for $1700 I paid him $1700 via btc.
Amount scammed: $1700
How they scammed: After paying $1700 via btc and the the payments cleared he claimed he had a valuable name on the account owned by a friend and needed to wait for said friend to get online to take the name back. He asked first for 1500m osrs to collateral the name and claimed he could get me onto the account immediately. I declined because I did not want to invest more into getting the account. He then dropped it to $400 USD and I declined this as well. He finally told me to send the $50 I had remaining in my BTC wallet and he would let me on. After this payment has gone through he has been MIA and will not respond.

This is terrible trading practice for him to not mention the RSN situation prior and attempting to request that you give collateral is extremely sketchy (luckily you didn't follow through with that).

I've issued a DNT (market-ban) onto @Mazadar for the time-being. @Mazadar Care to elaborate here?

 

This guy scammed me aswell. I bought osrs 1800+ Total level account for £110. After few days it got recovered. Told me his friend recovered it. He showed me another account with 2000 total level told me if i add £70 he will give me this account instead. I paid him £70, after he kept on saying he wasent home. He later asked me for £25 because the new account has some osrs gold and he wanted £25 as reassurance. And after i send those gold to his friend he will give back £25. But i kept saying i will wait for him to get back home so he can empty the gold from account and i didnt want to pay more.
After that he just blocked me in discord.
Well i trusted him and went first because he had vouches.
I m in mobile so i cant send screenshot of conversation. But if required i can send it from pc.

@NepzParadox Please make a separate report rather than posting here so that it can be added to his ban reason if he chooses to not resolve it.

I've banned him for 3 months and the DNT (market-ban) will remain on his account until he refunds you and successfully pardons. I'm sorry for your loss @Lethargic.

For account sales it's a really risky market unfortunately, therefore I usually recommend getting a reputable service provider to hand-train your own account rather than buying them as it's more expensive but the most convenient in the long run, however that's just my personal advice. I know $1700 is a lot of money nonetheless and again I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you can learn from this moving forward. If you need any advice from me feel free to reach out whenever.
