Mage Or Range On This?

ok im making an obby tank (1 atk /52 str soon to be60/40 def)
if i ever go f2p i would be rubish with 1 atk (iron scim) but iv heard that u can get a mage staf at stealing creation that gives same str bonus as rune scim.

so my question is, should i get range or mage or both (if so wat lvls.) as you need 40 mage to weild the mage staf.​

 

well if u plan to go f2p then yeah 40mage. curse your way to it aswell.

id stay with the 40 mage by cursing, then just get range up like a normal obby tanker.

BUMP HOW MANY COMBATS DOES 40 MAGE GET, ANYONE?

 

If your account is level 3 and all you do is curse your way or train it without getting any HP xp, then you will be level 22 with 40 magic.

1atk
55 str
40 def

39 combat

so what would my combat be if i added 40 mage to that (cursing)

 

you should always get mage, since it wont level you at all. but dont get range unless you stay 1def, then get range by slayer till youre 55 slayer and get slayer staff wich is 10x better to train with than obby maul.

WDF R U STUPID? i clearly stated im a obby tank meaning im 1atk not 1 def thats the whole reason for this thread ffs, and of course mage lvls you how can u say it wont ,and explain the slayer thing because you make no sence at all when you said it.

my account with 1 attack 70 strength 1 defence got 40 mage and didnt level once.

 

If you have any combat level over 70, getting your mage to 40 won't make any difference.

Also, if you're going for PKing, I doubt that Stealing Creation weapons are the best thing to use. I'd suggest getting your mag/range high enough to PK, and use the staff as a KO.

 

you can get 39 magic levels without leveling your combat. curse your way to there, if you get mage normally you will gain hp xp and you combat lvl will go up

 

yeah i did the calculations.you will either be the same lvl or u will grow one combat lvl.it really depends on what your hp level already is.
