How do you feel abut Same-Sex Marriages?

Sponsors of the California ballot measure that banned same-sex marriage are seeking to nullify thousands of marriages between gay and lesbian couples performed after the state Supreme Court ruled them constitutional.

The sponsors Friday filed responses to three anti-Proposition 8 lawsuits with the state Supreme Court. The briefs also defend Proposition 8 against opponents' legal challenges, including an argument that the amendment needed a constitutional convention to be added to the state's constitution.

"We are confident that the will of the voters and Proposition 8 will ultimately be upheld," said Andrew Pugno, General Counsel for ProtectMarriage.com and the Proposition 8 Legal Defense Fund.

California Attorney General Edmund "Jerry" Brown called on the court to reject the initiative.

"Proposition 8 must be invalidated because the amendment process cannot be used to extinguish fundamental constitutional rights without compelling justification," Brown said in a written statement.

On my Opinion I think this should be allowed I'm a boy and i'm not Gay just to let you all know, but who are we to tell them who they are going to marry?

It is gross especially Gay marriages But we have to live with it.

I think its right, It's everyones choice, not ours... and besides bi/homosexual people have a right to be as un-happy as straight ones.

It said Same sex marriage, not just guys marrying guys, God....And honestly, You got to actually read the bible before you decide you are/are not a believer....Most kids just say yes or no, depending on there parents or friends

 

Doesn't bother me.. They should do what they want to.. It's their life, why mess it up just because of a stupid rule... If they love them selves, well go ahead..

 

I've decided on whether to believe in God based on the evidence, or that lacking, in the Bible.

And as for Same-Sex Marriages, where are you to decide if you do not have such feelings. You are from your standpoint of being Straight, so you're obviously to be biased in most cases. If you may experience the world from a different view, then you should see that there is nothing wrong with Same-Sex Marriage.

 

But, for like Lesbian Sex alot of people have been saying there has been alot of Rape and murder For Lesbians Please dont take that to the heart I dont mind having Lesbians or Gays in my Life i have like 7 Lesbian friends (girls) i believe i dont have any Gay friends irl but on Internet i know a few.

Its the same as two opposites,

People really need to get over the fact that they can not stop gays/lesbians.

The state should not be in the marriage business at all.
It is up to religions to "marry" people. The only thing the state should hand out are civil unions.

 

eh i don't believe in it....i just don't like to see guys and guys or girls and girls

I don't see why people don't want them. The only real reasons they say no is because they think it's disgusting or 'God says it's wrong' which are both idiotic. I believe that they should be able to do what they want as often as they want

 

I feel fine about same-sex marriage. Love shouldn't be restricted by gender, and it certainly shouldn't be up to religious folks to decide the outcome of someone else's life.
