Reset Runescape.

If you're playing runescape for respect, then you're playing it for the wrong reasons. What do you make money on runescape for? For respect. There's only so much money can buy, 'useful' items-wise, and once you've gone past that, then there's just gonna be a pile of cash sitting in your bank until you've bought a phat, to show off with and to get respect with, from noobs who fail to realise that once you have that much cash, then making more is easy. Again, if you're playing for respect, then you're playing for the wrong reasons.

The economy is going to stay shit, reset or not, and besides, bye-bye every single rare, which is a lot of playing for respect gone. But, unfortunately, people will still merchant, and if you have an economy, eventually, it will turn to shit. It's just going to happen, unless you wanna reset the game every time before it does. But, as an opposing statement to what some people've said, resetting the game won't get rid of your knowledge, and I bet it won't be very fun starting from level 3 with 25gp, and a heap of bronze shit all over again, while knowing that you could've stayed whatever level.

And the whole "respect" business is the same as the economy. Richer people will get respect, that's the way it will be, and that's the way it is. Resetting the game won't change that...

Wow. 1 million people, as opposed to the REST of runescape? It it WERE to be done, it'd have to be a majority, rofl, 1 million people... and besides, it wouldn't work anyway. You'd get all the noobs that just vote to reset so they're on a par with, say, zezima, or king duffy, or whoever the fuck's top of the high scores these days, kind of like revenge sex. But the people who actually know some shit about runescape, as opposed to the noobs, will fairly soon start raping absolutely everyone, and we'd be back in the same situation.

 

Deffinately shouldnt be reset.

It is getting worse, admittedly.. But a reset would just kill most of the runescape population.

Runescape has been going for a long time.. Its now slowly getting worse, and theres no simple solution for it.. Thats the truth.

 

I don't know. It would be good if everything was started over, and they some how god rid of bots.

 

I sometimes remember when I found someone die with rune stuff, I got rune 2h. I was so excited I sold it for 20k, yes that's how much I sold it for. I believe everybody should get a 2nd chance to make a better start.

I vote yes (despite my 4 years of hard work playing) because I'll have to admit this. The times when I first started playing were the best memories I've had in runescape. I remember being pissed off over losing like steel 2h sword. I remember when everybody was a noob. I remember when I would get confused while travelling. Now all I do for fun on runescape is play Bh and die.

 

Exactly. The problem is, it is not even fun.

 

I don't think runescape should be reset. It would take care of all the mess right now, maybe. But what happens when all the people trained there accounts back up to a high level and people created more pures?

Jagex would also lose a lot of money because a lot of people would quit from being reset.

So overall it wouldn't be a good decision. Jagex would lose money and it would be back to the same sooner or later.

 

Everyone misses the old days! Everyone who was around knows they were the best years, However the games changed... and will never be the same. There's no way people (including me) will be willing to give up all there hard work.

 

ohmyygooood this makes me miss the 2003-2005 so badly =/ i mean then there wasnt that many high levels, you rarely saw a lvl 120+ and all you did was havin fun with your friends going exploring things etc etc, to me the f2p world was bigger then p2p is now >.< man i was a big noob..

They Shouldn't reset rs2, because then all people like zezima etc wasted their whole lives for nothing lol.

They Should make Runescape 3, and then rs2 can still be played but only like 10 worlds, and the main focus would be on rs3.

So rs2 will become like rsc. Thats way if people still want to play rs2 thats fine, but the main focus is the all new runescape 3!!.

That would be a great idea tbh.

 

Cleary you have a shit account. If you had wealth and/or decent skills on it, like one of the accounts, maxed out with all skills at 99, you wouldn't be saying this. Lol.:huh:

 

I would cry if all accounts got reset. Because of all the work ive put into my account. But 10mionutes later i would be back on rs because i know the best ways to train and i bet i could 1 of the top players if all accounts got reset. I wish i never even played runescape, its partially ruined my life. I remember 3-4 years ago playing rs in computer class with other kids and bragging about getting 50 mining and the fact that i could get gold ore. I remember the awe i felt as i discovered new areas of runescape and smithing my own armor. No i have 90 mage and can tele anywhere on the regular spellbook, I have a terrorbird and sprint through new areas. Im combat 111 and still feel inferior to half rs. Whenever i go to the ge it seems like im still a lv 65 f2p player. I have a bank value of 35mill and still feel broke with all these expensive godwars items. I wish botting came back just so pure ess and yew logs would have a decent price. Sometimes i get depreseed when i think of all the item ive wasted playing rs when i could have been working out, studying, and trying to get laid. Instead of getting 95 range by hand, what if i trained my self to benchpressing 175 pounds getting a 3.5 GPA and a steady girlfriend? The fact that i remember when rune full helms were the best helm in the game and got 40k each... I wish everyone's bank's got reset and 135's couldn't make 30mill a day for GWD.

I wish rs was the size of F2p rs not the huge map now. I wish we had old graphics, my beloved staking, and when you could be a king with a lv 100 combat level. When i play i feel like im missing that feeling of awe i used to get when i explored new areas.

Yes, i think it should.. Imagine all the players trying to get lvl up faster then ur friend, or getting gold faster .. that would be total fun if they reset it, phats 50k again w00t.

 

Dunno what i would do for a rs reset, but it's a really good concept!

 

I'd love to have wildy and real merching back if they did reset it =/
