I beleive in god because there is a god. I can feel it. I belong to the mormon faith, and there is no way of it not being true. It just makes sense. There is no proof that we are even living on an earth in the middle of uncountable galaxies, planets and stars, but I just know it's true - the same as I just know that there is a god. I am not scared of dying and there being nothing else, I am actually more scared of eternity. My religion just makes sense there's nothing else to it. I think you are so scared of there not being an afterlife that you hope for the worst, that way you don't feel your fooling yourself - but there is a small hope of god's existance, I can see it in you. I have felt the hand of god in my life. You will accept god when you die though, I'm sure you will be sad of every soul you shunned away from christ. Now shredder my unintellagent naive little friend, give me proof that there isn't a god.
