Anxiety and smoking is there a link

This will be a short one sorry but I wanting to see if there is a link between smoking weed and anxiety.

All stoners I speak to have it but 90 percent denying that it is cause of weed.

Weed makes me anxious by showing me thoughts/feelings I don't usually feel. But I the long run it reduces anxiety because I work on those things, if that makes sense.

 

What was you like before weed? Was you anxious at all?

 

No I wasn't tbh. Anxiety is a tough one. Many people take pills etc to cure it but really you have to try and figure out what is causing it deep down and go from there. The understanding part is what weed helps with.

 

@Fkedup if you have anxiety (not saying you do). MDMA is amazing for it.

The next day, when you're mind is exhausted and you just don't give a fuck about anything, really teaches you what it feels like to have 0 anxiety at all.

Plenty of studies around MDMA too to read about

I wasn't saying to drop a few bombs with your mates in town to cure you're anxiety. Read into it, very interesting stuff.

 

Alright bro, im just talking out off my own expierence, used quite some drugs in my life.

And especially MDMA and Xtc messed me up badly, And also made my anxiety way worse in the past.

But this is for me, Cant talk for anyone else haha

 

It depends on what sort of anxiety you're talking about as their is many types and forms and it can differ alot via personal situation and individual.

Personally I never had a problem with anxiety along any associates that I recall.

 

Stopped smoking weed and my anxiety went way down. Used to smoke every day

Weed doesn't give me anxiety. It just makes me too paranoid, as my subconscious mind activates too much. Which starts to question what's real and what's not in the grids of life.

Although the relaxation it gives you, is worth. Perhaps long term use is harmful, although very recommended for new users for a short stint. Definitely helps you get a look in on things from a much different perspective you wouldn't be able to grasp sober.

 

It clogs your air ways so im sure it can lead to a panic attack

 

There is absolutely a connection between the two
