Scar and RSBot

Contrary to most people, i started autoing with scar and loved it, it even got my main 99 def but, with SMART being broken i found myself turing to a bot that was minimizible so i turned to Rsbot. I find that Rsbot scripts are extremly solid were as Scar scripts (in the Jr.Members section anyways) always go offcource and end up breaking. I would prefer scar over rsbot anyday but with SMART being broken i just can't.

 

Well Scar, You can use on different games I thought... RSBot is just for 1 game though it's easy to use I picked RSbot because I only usually USED to play RS and I liked the scripts it did what I wanted. Back to Scar I like it also but most things I really don't get like all this stuff you got to put and things it's confusing but I guess their both great since they both get the job done..... (Sometimes)

Most people choose RSBot mainly because of it's ease of use. I mean, it's so much noob friendlier than SCAR. With SCAR you need to know how to program and the scripting is more complex than RSBot.

RSBot is preferred now, especially for noobs, because most people who use SCAR use it for RS cheating.

 

SMART isn't fully broken. You can still auto on it and minimize it.

 

RSBOT's simplicity and effectiveness outweighs SCAR's versatility

 

And SCAR's effectiveness is just as effective of RSBot's effectiveness

honestly, if you think rsbot has more capability than sar then please GTFO of this thread, as quite simply, it isn't all based around runescape+it's harder to script in scar/takes longer, but truthfully with all the failsafes and things Jethrox pointed out scar is a lot more effective. you can use things like plugins (which can be in java) and even use data from the web in scar, as for smart being broken, please go and read srl .

Well I find that quite obvious seeing that both of them are Scar scripters...

I personally prefer RsBot for reasons that I'm not going to even go into.

Agreed, I just find RSbot so much easier to use

 

I prefer RSBot it's just easier to open up, the interface is nice, and adding/using scripts is really easy.

 

Go back a page or two (page 4 or 5) and show me a better chicken killing progress report than what I posted. That 300hr+ report, please show me something better from an RSBot chicken killer.

I've used neither. Well, I used the very first versions of SCAR when it first came out (Eh, back when Kaitnieks maintained it ^_^), but I do know how both of the new versions work (being a programmer myself).

RSBot in my eyes is better for a few reasons actually. I'm not comparing cheating functionality, user friendlyness or the versatility of scripts as I have never used the bot in the first place, but I will say it is far less detectable and certainly more effective in practice. Why? Because it hooks the RS window itself. Where SCAR clicks normally on the screen, that is all well and good, but when it comes to how each program actually internally operates, RSBot is much better. SCAR merely finds colours and clicks, RSBot hooks the screen and works with the actual game client itself.

All in all I'd say both are about as useful as each other though, considering both are used for the same purpose and both achieve the same purpose one way or another.

Please note the first things I said; I've never used the new versions of SCAR, and never used RSBot. My post is without bias.

 

What you have said, I would have agreed with you 100% about 2-3 years ago . SCAR Hooks the client with SMART just as RSBot does, except instead of injecting a mouse into the client, it copy + pastes the canvas into SMART and uses an "invisible" mouse.
