There's a difference between having an open market and false advertising. Advertising that you have the lowest rates to attract customers and then not actually have the lowest rates is false advertising. I don't know why all of you are supporting practices that promote false advertising. False/deceptive advertising is illegal in many jurisdictions - and most countries have laws that protect consumers against this. Sythe should do the same if they don't already.

It's not that we are supporting it - we are mainly just stating it's impossible to moderate. If I were to have a shop & state I have lowest rates do you think I am going to sit there day after day for hours on end reviewing the thousands of other shops/people selling gold to ensure I have the lowest rates for that day/week? Rates change quite often and it's quite difficult to keep up with it. I could also post a topic now beating all sellers by .01 and leave and have dinner and the rates have changed making my advertisement "false" - would that warrant punishment?

There's just too much of a grey area here & impossible to moderate. Don't like the rates? Don't purchase - it's simple.

This is actually a good idea but would be extremely hard to implement! Support!

Lol. How is it hard to moderate if someone can simply screenshot the fact that someone is lying about their promised rates / deals or refuse to price match as per their thread. Moderators can issue warnings to reported users so that they dont mislead. Sure it might increase the amount of reports slightly, but I don't see how its impossible to moderate. In fact this seems much easier to prove than someone scamming.

I understand your point about needing to monitor rates to actually remain the "cheapest", but lets say someone says they're the cheapest/beating any price, and when I present them with a seller thats cheaper and they refuse to match, thats very misleading and false advertising. This wouldn't be hard to prove and you don't need to follow the market to price match/beat. It isn’t "impossible" to enforce. This suggestion would force sellers to remain honest and true to their threads which should be the case imo.

I agree with how annoying it is in a sea of threads, definitely.

Especially when I'm like hey can I buy this currency?
And they reply with an absurd price
And I say well your thread says you have the lowest rates. No one with a bit of sense would buy that.
And then they get upset that I'm calling them out for wasting my time.

Rates should be posted in the thread, and updated accordingly. That deceptive shit is annoying.

Just want to reiterate the fact that posting a price in a thread and not honoring it is an offense and should be reported. Please include a screenshot or two demonstrating that the times line up between bumping a thread offering a price and not offering that price in chat.

Denied - we're keeping the current system in place. If you think something breaks these rules please report it and we'll deal with it on a case by case basis.
