Leecher status

I'm tired of eDrama. "We are all human beings and we're all equal..." seriously, even for modest posters, it should take you less than a week to become a member. There is a reason leechers are despised; they usually advertise, spam, scam, and generally break every rule because they don't care if they're banned. Obviously every leecher isn't like this, but stereotypes also have a basis in fact, however small it is. If you really care so much, spend an hour writing comments that won't get you banned for spam, and Presto! You're not a leecher anymore! Get over it mate.

 

Well tbh, this is always bought up as a major issue, when it shouldn't be an issue, at the end of the day, post count is relative to how they contribute to the community. I.e someone who posts a lot of relative helpful comments seem to want to aid the community in some sort of fashion.

I don't understand how people can say they'd trust someone from early 2006 with a low post count, it just means they haven't contributed to the community whtsoever and leeched for so many years, Sythe (as in the owner of this website) is not stupid, i think he's though this through very well.

Post count does count for some sort of trustworthiness however, just look and use common sense at the users profile, and do the relative research required on the user you're trading with, if the user posts 20 times a day and joined a month ago, chances are they're going to scam, look them up using search function, it's a very helpful tool and has saved me so many times.

I mean, i'm not saying you should purely base your trust on post count, but don't be stupid, the status' do stand for something, if people reported spam correctly, like they should, it would stop people gaining 'ranks' when they shouldn't gain 'ranks'.

Well anyway, i could ramble on alllllll night about this, but honestly, the status 'leecher' is there for a reason, it means you're a leecher, and don't contribute to the community. Night y'all...

 

no it dosent. as we have said befor a leecher can not scam but be disrespected but then a guru can be respected and then scam and its all hushed up. it just makes no sence -_-

Unless its in the black market, leechers should have many vouches, but everyone should have vouches, and such.

Anyone who treats a leecher bad, needs to relize we have all been leechers, and they need to get over themselves, and quit picking to rise their ego status.

 

I think there should be a rule against vouches that don't involve actually trusting the person. A lot of people for example give vouches because it was a good trade etc.

say I sell a pbp pin to someone and they go first, paying me 5$. Should it really be legal for me to vouch them even though I didn't trust the in the least? as vouches really are considered a figure of trust.

Its just a common stereotype, its not hard to get past the ranks of leecher, just post some help to other players on guides or w.e, or go first in trades with some of the more trusted players.

i reckon more people build up their post count so they are trusted then scam as nobody trades with leechers.

Actually, an Apprentice, as I am, is better than a Leecher.

Most Leechers know nothing about Sythe, the community, who scams, who's respect, etc.

i am a leecher joined not long ago.

i have been scammed 2 times by members and i think the ranks are screwed up. it should be based on what you do, number of legit vouches etc.

thats my 2 cent....

 

The ranks are based upon posts, thus meaning nothing about respect/trust/etc..

I agree with that, but people don't start out with lower respect than you. They start with an equal amount of respect, because they have nothing wrong or right to lose or earn respect.

Leecher rant: Read my above statement. Nothing should be void unless the person has done something wrong to have brought this action unto themselves.
