All these people saiyng "omg, a friend shouldn't do that to you!". Well theres a possibility he likes her even more than you since he actually had the balls to go up and ask her out.

Why would your friend have to give her up just for you? You said no one knew you liked her anyway. I don't get the whole bullshit with "i liked her so you shouldn't ask her out", clearly he likes her to so does that mean you shouldn't be able to ask her out thus ending in no one asks her out? It's kid talk being all "i saw her first".

Wait till they break up and in the meantime grow some balls so you'll be able to ask her out when they do break up. Also become her friend if your not already, since your friend is going out with her, its already a ticket in into become her friend. Because she probably won't say yes if you ask her out when she knows nothing about you.

Anyway, hopefully your balls have dropped and the second they break up start talking to her. You might want to consider telling your friend how your feeling.

If you talk to the girl about it and she decides to break up with your friend then go out with you, your friend might be pissed and get mad at you.
