    What Languages Do You Know?

OK, i know this might be considered bumping but that pissed me off.
Vb.NET is a stronger language as it has more classes, etc.
Vb6 is great, but i think he was implying that More people who just want hacks and cheats will use vb6, and leech off of codes because there are more as opposed to vb.net

However, it is visual basic for a reason.
    learn java, or c#.

Anyways i would like to say i'm fluent in vb.net, c#, and java.
But i haven't been really programming much, aside from school (which is mostly algorithms) and i still need to search through many classes in the API, do get what i want done.

    What Languages Do You Know?

Ive been told python isn't as hard as its thought to be?

Is that true? If so i may take a look into it.. As it seems to be a very capable language.

    What Languages Do You Know?

Javascript is not the same as AJAX. It is true that often part of the AJAX programming is done with Javascript, but knowing Javascript does not imply knowing how to create AJAX programs. Perhaps I am being picky, but this is what being a web programmer does to you :)

It depends on what you mean by hard. I found Python easy to learn, but it may be different from person to person. Whether you like it or not, however, it is definitely a capable language. I believe that there was a time when the Python library was larger than the Java library.

I can quote wikipedia too! Scripts can not run as stand alone applications. Due to this, I do not consider them programming languages.

O yea, is a square a rectangle? Some say no, some say yes regardless of the "definition" of them both.

I consider an auto I made way better than Rsbot, but the fact is that Rsbot is way better. <- Your logic in a nutshell.

Tbqh I could care less what you consider them, the only people that I care about are the experts, if you had asked one of the Autoit dev. if they would consider autoit a programming language they would answer yes, I believe they describe it as so on their website at some point anyways.

The people who do not consider a square a rectangle are wrong though, a definition is a definition, you can't change the meaning of something.

Anyways The thread is titled "What Languages do you Know" - I believe that entails scripting languages, does it not?

    What Languages Do You Know?

I could make an auto that I consider to be much better than RSBOT, and I would be right. That is opinionated and it varies for every person. You can not assign a right answer to someones opinion, so I think that an auto I make is better than RSBOT, and I am right in my opinion, but in your opinion I am wrong.

If you consider scripting languages programing languages, then Jmacro has its own language, scar has its own language, rsbot has its own language. But anyways...

I see that it creates stand alone .exes that run on windows, without autoit installed. that makes me think that it is compiling the scripts into a full on programming language. I think this because to run java you need the java jre, to run .net stuff you need .net framework, and etc... php you need to have a webserver and stuff...

If it entitles scripting languages, then I know Jmacro... which is technically a "scripting language" but you need to know java to use "program" in it.

    What Languages Do You Know?

    I was kidding. D:

And no, I didn't make it. Got it here: http://zip.4chan.org/a/imgboard.html

Python is not hard at all. It is a scripting language, one that you can learn the basics pretty quickly, and can be powerful. It's a great first language, and still useful even if you know another.

    What Languages Do You Know?

Tbh I recently came across AutoIt and was gonna start learning it but I didn't see why I should learn it for the reason that Scar seems to be as good as AutoIt if not better at the things that I wanted to do with AutoIt.
