Scammed by BuyingHardcores

I was scammed today by BuyingHardcores aka BEARDSQUADOSRS.

I am requesting a full refund/reimbursement for bank.

He recovered the account. I received an email at about 3AM today asking me to reset my password from jagex, and instantly had a gut feeling that the account was being recovered as I never requested a password change. I recorded a bank video stating my suspicions, and lo and behold...

Attached is an imgur gallery of discord convo, bank video this morning where I suspected it was being recovered, and then proof it was locked/recovered. I am requesting that BuyingHardcores aka BEARDSQUADOSRS reimburses me for damages.

@Andy apologize for sensitive info in links, but you have copies yes? i can PM if needed to staff, as I believe the proof is irrefutable of the lock/recovery that took place. I want to reiterate that I am not looking for the account back, I am looking for a full refund/recompensation. He is the OO, he is the only one that can recover a locked account, and I am not interested in further playing an account that the owner is going to recover at will.

just saw the other users thread about the same issue of account recovery, assuming this doesnt go well... how long do I need to wait before I'm allowed to try and claim the money from paypal? IDK if they'll actually compensate me, which is unfortunate.

 

Hi, sorry, I was busy with work. I sent in a recovery last night and woke up to it being accepted but, for some reason the account has been perm banned (sent a picture to jay on discord) I'll have to refund him when I'm payed as I don't have the funds atm.

 

@BuyingHardcores how long until you are paid/can refund? Since you admit you just recovered it I am not very excited to be left here waiting indefinitely.

 

nevermind, after recovering the account @BuyingHardcores is refusing to refund me "until the account gets unbanned". I messaged him originally to recover the account but found out that it was already recovered/locked and instantly made a thread here. He is now saying that he recovered it after I made the thread, although in the redacted thread mods you can see that is not true, as it had already been recovered and set to a new email. Now that he recovered it, and he is saying it got banned, he is refusing to refund me as he argues that he will be out the amount I paid for it since he cant resell it. My argument is

A. I provided proof long before any response that he was "responding to me" that the account was locked and recovered
B. I didn't get the account banned, but now that it is he is using it as an excuse to not refund me.

Since he continually explains that according to sythe rules he is only responsible for returning an account to me (that he clearly just recovers at will and returns when he sees fit, as matches with the other thread), I am requesting permission to file a chargeback since it is clear I will not be re compensated by this person.

 

I am PMing the link to @Andy for proof of discord convo/refusal to provide refund as I am unsure what counts as info that needs to be redacted, hopefully he doesn't mind sharing with other mods looking at this case. Please let me know if I will be allowed to attempt to recover my money on my own.

 

Not sure why you're making your own story up. Buyer contacted me on discord while I was at work and told me he had lost access to the account, when I got home from work i sent in a recovery, woke up this morning to it being accepted although the account had also been perm banned. I'm not responsible for any bans, mutes or offences after the account is sold nor am I required to refund, my responsibility (sythe rules) is to return the account to the buyer, in this case out of my own kindness I have told the buyer I am happy to refund if this account is unbanned (not going to put myself out of pocket) I do not do refunds but since I feel bad I am willing to try and get it unbanned as I am aware jagex unban macro accounts eventually after apologetic appeals are sent. Just going to put it here that if the buyer attempts to chargeback on paypal I will do nothing to help him after that.

I already explained that I provided proof that the account was recovered successfully to a different email BEFORE any response at all, from seller right after being locked, which is why I made this thread. The only way this could happen is if the buyer submitted an appeal which got the account locked and was successful in recovering.

 

I guess we're just going to completely eradicate the chance of someone being hacked, alright then. If somebody buys an account and loses access the first thing you would do is message who you bought it off which is what you did, I told you I was at work and when I got home I sent in an appeal and it was accepted the following morning + a perm ban for macro major. Whoever recovered it before hand is completely irrelevant, I only recovered it after you had told me you had lost access. Seems to me you, or whoever recovered the account the first time used third party or you did far before then and it was manually looked into.

 

I am PMing @Andy proof that the current email the account is tied to is indeed the same email when I first posted this thread, showing that "whoever recover it beforehand is completely irreleveant" is simply false, it is the same person and @BuyingHardcores is responsible for the original lock/recovery not "whoever recovered the account the first time".

 

I am also done responding to the seller, as I have provided all the proof I can and believe it is a waste of time.

 

Not going to happen unless the account is unbanned, i don't do refunds.
