Three things that even Microsoft can't explain!!

MAGIC #1

An Indian found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer which can be named as "CON". This is something funny and inexplicable… At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened!
TRY IT NOW, IT WILL NOT CREATE A "CON" FOLDER

MAGIC #2
For those of you using Windows, do the following:
1.) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.
Noticed the weird bug? No one can explain!

Again this is something funny and can't be explained… At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!
It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself…
Open Microsoft Word and type
=rand (200, 99)
And then press ENTER
And see the magic…..!

 

I have confirmed the first fact, it makes it go back to New Folder.

 

Fact 3 also true, types:
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. for 147 pages.

 

the Trick#2 works aswell, comes up with 6 or 7 boxes as if its in korean or chinese.

 

CON doesn't work because its something related to the DOS days.. Not sure on the ins and outs, But thats why you can't do it.

The second one didn't work for me, Im running vista, and saved the file on desktop as 'test.txt' .. I saw no bug.

The third trick works, Although im not familiar with the Rand function, so i can't really comment on why it does it.

The first 2 work, I don't have microsoft word but I'm pretty sure 3 also works.

 

This is a reserved device name on Windows along with CON, NUL, COM[1-9], AUX, and LPT[1-9]. This is something that is built in to Windows and Microsoft INTENDS for you to not be able to make folders or files with reserved file names.

This is a problem with Notepad's ANSI encoding. Save it as UTF-8 and it will work fine.

1) Something to do with when DOS was used
2) Works with any words with the same letters (although I think you did something wrong, as nothing happined)
3) That's just a part of MS-Word
