RFD Subquest Help - Pirate Pete!

For the Recipe For Disaster Pirate Pete subquest do you need to do the whole subquest in order to receive that wicked looking gigantic crab claw which you can equip? I know you can get the Diving Apparatus and Fishbowl helmet from it, but do I need to do the whole thing to get the claw, as well?

 

You get the claw somewhere in it, it is not like a reward at the end though. Why dont u just finish it?

 

You get the claw after you go underwater and kill the crabs inside the cage, which you will have helmet, diving apparatus.
