Musician Section

Why isn't there? If you're wanting help on tips on playing an instrument. lyric structure. or to be critiqued and you go within the T&A forum it's flooded with threads such as "Disturbed rocks!", "vote your favorite here" and such.

On top of this I am sure that there are people on sythe who are musicians but don't even know that the T&A offers them help in enhancing there skills.

Also you say it won't be used that much well.

43 in all, an that is just of who I have seen that are musicians of some sort.
If I am not mistaken that is more regulars than any of the other forums [excluding trade forums] That's also not to mention the people I have forgot to add, or people who wish to become a musician.

There are plenty of people willing to help as you see the creator of this thread, the people who have agreed with this thread. I know I surely wouldn't have wasted almost a half hour-hour of my time trying to remember and looking for people who are musicians.

Who are you to say that is all gamers care about?

 

Being a guitarist, this could actually be interesting for me, and I might actually use this forum should it be implemented.

However, I think a subforum to the actual music (tunes analysis) section would fit well enough.

 

Being a very enthusiastic Guitarist and Pianist, i feel there should be a section like this added.

I would be very active in it, and i'm sure hundred's of threads would be created in a very short amount of time if it was to be implemented.

Agree'ing with finn - For now, A subforum is all thats required.

 

Finn by your logic then, merge the runescape videos section with the video section under off topic. Because it doesn't matter if its runescape vids or any other vid. Or put that under a sub forum I guess. Anyways my point being, in tunes analysis most people talk about songs other people make, ones that are on the charts. Yet this sections would talk about the tech sides of music, give different playing techniques and what not to other people. People would help each other here solely on music they have created.

iSupport, because I'm a singer, and I feel this would be a fun section to be added. Maybe as a sub-forum, but still should be added.

 

I support, it is a good idea.

Maybe you should break it down. Make the parent forum called "Creativity".

Creativity:
Music> Song Writer Place> Instruments Place
Art> Gallery > Graphics> Techniques> Competitions
Writing> (So on, so on)

I think it should be implemented in a creativity section idea.

 

I completely and fully support this movement. I'd probably jizz myself if this was approved. ;D

I write songs (Not so much music/tabs, as I suck at guitar...) and I would LOVE this section.
However, I think they should make an entire section for musicians.
What I mean is a section JUST for musicians, Like the section JUST for RuneScape.
And their could be sub-categories such as: Lyrics, Music Videos, Support Our Band, Fans, etc.

Again you have 110% support from me.

This would be awesome. And it totally relates because; c'mon? Who doesn't hear music? And this gives oppertunity for a whole different crowd to join sythe and share their arts. Id love to share some charts, hybrid rudiments and cadences it would be amazing. You can also have like a user educator rank; with however many pieces you wrote. Many programs can give you an mp3 too; with programs like POWER Tab or GuitarPro5.


Con:::

Some people don't care because they haven't taken the time to learn how to read music leaving it aside. Also allot of people leak and steal pieces witch may be huge effect on the sub-forum/forum.

 

It's really easy to figure out if you steal a section of music from another band. I doubt that will be any problem. and the people who don't care don't need to come to the section it would be for musicians not every random person who feels like talking thats the spam forum.

Anyways is this gonna be accepted so that we get our sub forum or denied or what? it's been up for a while now, have had tons of pro's and very few con's...

I think this is a great idea, I regularly play my guitar and I think a section where we can all share our work would be awsome.
