I suggest you go see a professional therapist. It might be hard to take that step and seek help but I can guarantee you it's worth.

Update to my post ... I've since quit CBD weed (it still has THC in it as well ... plus CBD is a cannabinoid modulator such that it increases action of THC). I recommend CBD weed as a temporary crutch with which to quit cannabis altogether. I've quit all drugs and alcohol since I posted (except beer and wine on occasion). However, I noticed once I quit I started getting back into RS (can't responsibly play such a time-intensive game at present) and watching porn regularly (not the best use of my time/sexual motivation). One thing to keep in mind is that when you quit substance abuse (esp. marijuana with regards to motivation) you'll end up with time and energy that needs to be directed somewhere. Merely replacing substance abuse with another addiction isn't going to benefit me, so I (and OP) should seek meaningful activities to fill the void left by drug abuse.

Yep:) I go to the gym on campus and play intramural soccer. Exercise is amazing for my mental & physical health ... intramural or other social-minded sports are also a great way to meet new people with active interests.

That's fantastic! And good that you acknowledge it's effect. Keep doing that and make sure you get enough rest and eat healthy :)

I am a Muslim and we fast for spiritual reasons but I suggest for you to fast and not eat from dawn to sunset or near that time if you can.. gives your body a chance to detox and also scientifically proven health benefits.

I hope you get better and I am really sorry about what you are going through but keep your head up and control your mind because the brain is an amazing tool that if you tame it you will accomplish great things in life.

Quitting marijuana is a long run, the positive effects start to be noticed after months, your sleep schedule is regulated, your eating habits improve, clarity of mind. The hardest part is dealing with the emotions that we used to numb with the effects of marijuana.

The important thing is to have a lot of patience, start changing your habits step by step, there is a lot of information on the internet.

I'm available if you need personal counseling.

If you are trying to escape some emotions I would try getting in touch with a therpaist. I used to use weed to escape but it gets real slippery fast. I'm now on antidepressants without the indirect side effects of weed. Good luck

There is a basic advice I learned in a forum about entheogenes, to make new habits and changes you should start from little, for example, if you are depressed all day and it is difficult to wake up, a goal is to get out of bed, brush your teeth and bathe. This may seem silly to some people, but when people are going through deep emotional states that need to improve or heal, starting these small changes a day, making a meal, going for a walk, going somewhere natural, can be very beneficial

Everyone above is wrong, I started smoking weed at the age of 15 as well, if you don't moderate it you can be a bit lazy and unproductive but aside from that, all weed does is make you more of what you already are, You were most likely born with some degree of depression, I think its more important to to study and understand your mental health and ways to improve it before you go pointing fingers at a plant. If you are depressed and anxious, weed will make you more depressed and anxious, if you are happy and content, weed will make you more happy and content. practice healthy lifestyle choices don't get caught in cycles, be spontaneous and try to have an optimistic outlook. We create our own realities

I had to quit smoking months ago, I get way to deep into my thoughts and it turns into huge anxiety and depression.

I pesonally like CBD oil a lot, and I often take it. It helps me well with my migraines, and I feel much better overall. I know that some people say it's not that good, but it works for me, and I am happy about it ;)

i feel like smoking weed just exaggerates the (bad) tendencies you already have (like being lazy for example).
if you're smoking weed to cope with something or fill up your time i suggest finding a hobby or something that you can pick up any time and start working on and genuinely enjoy.
that way you will keep your mind occupied and not think about smoking weed, which is how i start smoking most of the time (having nothing to do at a certain moment).
