Xbox360 or PS3?

I think people are missing the point with the PlayStation 3.

The PS3 is an OVERALL entertainment system with the ability to play games. It started out as a games console, but now it is more like a media center. Personally I'd get the PS3, as it is more useful overall (that, and I don't really like many of the games on Xbox) and I believe it is more entertaining in the end.

Besides, Xbox can't play Final Fantasy

X360, Soz guys PS3 Has let the gamer community down,Little Big Planet-Hyped and Failed. Home- Is that gonna be in beta for the next 5 years??? and many more letdowns. Get an elite sit back and have a good time,X360>Ps3 PERIOD.

 

I actually have both the PS3 and the XBOX360 and I think the PS3 has alot more power behind it and has alot of things that the XBOX don't have. If your parents don't like to spend money for internet then i'd definitaly go with the PS3. I pretty much have no UPs for the xbox exept for a couple graphic adds. BUT DEFINITLY PS3 if i had 2 choose.

FUCK! What is with all these people saying "xbox has better online play". Have you ever played PS3 online?!? I've played both and let me tell you, PS3 is better. PS3 costs more and has more mature players, so online you get far better gamer's and 90% of PS3 users have headsets and are great to chat with. Since their older they believe in stratergy so you can discuss strategic advantage for any game and they aren't going to be like a 10 year old noob who would go "no way, i'm just gonna go try to take on 5 guys by myself".

PS3's online features are insane, you get so much free stuff its not funny. They are always releasing free stuff, upgrades for games and ofcourse i love the system updates. Also check out PS3 home, people are like "omg when that game comes out, i want to buy it" but its not a game, its a FREE FEATURE ONLY FOR PS3 ONLINE PLAY.

Ok now i got that done with i'd only ever recommend an xbox360 if you don't have a HD tv and can't go online. PS3 basicly needs a HD tv and online play so you can release its full potential.

So yeah, PS3 all the way.

 

xbox 360 much better it has good game eg halo 3 and the ps3 is breaking to i have a error with it my xbox hasnt broke just dont put it on carpet

 

Thank you for your long-winded discussion but seriously,Does this generation's youth want this? PS3 Might have potential,Power and whatever, But it just aint got Games by the way,Blu-Ray = Poo-ray. They try to take this off as the next "DVD". The only reason the DVD is a success was because of its Small size and convienience for both retailers/customers. Blu-ray ain't got nothin Maybe some good graphics, But i aint paying double price for a DVD in Blu-Ray.

 

Blu-Ray is High Definition - There is a big difference between a Blu-Ray disc and a DVD. For starters, Blu-Ray allows for a SHITLOAD more storage (due to the data needed for anything high definition being MASSIVE), hence the games generally have the capacity to be bigger than those on the Xbox. For example, I have The Elder Scrolls Oblivion on my PC, but I saw the Xbox version and a lot of my favourite parts were cut out.

Blu-Ray is next-generation, and I consider updating my hardware a top priority - and this is something Microsoft has failed to do. The only reason Microsoft has more games for Xbox is because they pay more money and have a bigger franchise. Even so, I don't like a lot of games for the Xbox, I'm more of a retro-style gamer (I still love my Nintendo 64 ) hence I love the Final Fantasy games (completed 4-10, and halfway through 12) and they are only available on PlayStation. I guess you could say I'm biased, but I still think that PS3 tops Xbox regardless.

As I said earlier, it is a fully-fledged entertainment system, where as Xbox is merely a games console.

Blue ray IS the next DVD, it was HD vs Blue-ray and blue ray WON. You can't buy HD DVD's in Australia anymore, or if you can they are extremely rare.

Blue ray is the same size as in physical attributes, it looks exactly the same so what the hell are you saying that everyone liked "its small size and convenience" because it is still that. Only difference is blue ray is like 50x bigger. Blue ray can hold 50gig or 60gig i think, i forget the exact amount. This means games can be longer, bigger and better. Some future games for PS3 can only be made on blue ray because they are so damn big.

Normal dvd's are the past, buying an xbox360 now is like buying a video player, it's pointless.
