wow dude. its not BS it works. it more than doubles your money and when your at high enough lvls of smithing, move on to mithril bars and higher. its way more profit than selling the ores themselves. as for the retard who said it was only 40%, do some math. 350k into 800k, hmmmm. id say thats near 65%. and yes, i have gained 5 mil off of this method. i spent it all to make mithril bars though cuz there is going to be a big price rise and i want my share.

 

you say this works with mithrill... recently i have tried and mithrill doesn't work... some raw materials cost more than what the bars sell at

 

The method itself is an okay way, but it's completely pointless unless you're going only for Smithing levels.

I can think of a dozen way more fun ways.

 

There is a method in how to smith Miths upto 99 and making about 30mil profit out of it. It was posted months ago here, but that is upto you to search for it.

 

Evryone know this 100%, and n1 is L2W to smith steel bars when there members, also no pics etc so 4/10.

 

this works well but i knew this "method" before but it does take a very long time i resulted in having to run rsbot to do it for me ^^

it does work, i used to do this at a low level, back when i was 85 or something.

also u can then make the steel bars into cballs and add some more profit on.

This is fairly decent money , also if you your a member i reccomend doing the varrock achievement diary. You can make two bars at once in the Edgeville furnace and only have to complete the easy part of the achievement diary for steel. Also it allows access to the Edgeville furnace which is right next to a bank therefore making this method slightly quicker.

ALSO, To save a little more cash on here (if your members) do the Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble quest, add 10 workers to the mining job and rhe rest wherever, you get roughly 200 coal per day for 75k, it works out cheaper then the grand exchange. Or, if you have not done the Royal Trouble quest it costs 50k per day but you get less items.^_^

 

mith's raw supplies is more than the bars i think. and a lot less people buy mith bars than steel

 

this method is long and boring so ya...

 

Ive just checked and actually after completing royal trouble its roughly 540 coal per day for 75k and thats only using 2/3 of the amount of workers you get ^_^. sorry guys >_<

Before the GE I had a steel bar company, and did no work at all and made like 10mill. :/

but the 800k for 1k steelbars u never gonna make dude, 1k sells for max 600k i guess and when u do cball u can make around 800k but i prefer buying the steel bars and smith 2 cballs :d and idd very slow

 

You fucked up your math on the last part about 1500 coins per hour and so on. You said making 100k bars would be 11,112 trips. But 100k bars x 180gp profit EACH BAR = 18M cash.

Now, 18,000,000/138 hours = 130,434gp profit per hour.

Go to school.

 

I'm pretty sure you only make a profit on this from Steel/Cannonballs

I haven't checked the Mith and Addy prices lately, so I could be wrong.

just check the prices before any of you try this on something other than steel
