    1. Why do you believe in something with no evidence.

Yes I do believe. Scientist say that on the very first beginning of everything had to be any power. Any power, which gave the appeal for creation of the world. And I think it is God. And you are asking who create the God. No one knows. But we will know when we go to the heaven. There are lot of questions that we will know. God is the only reason with no reason.

Scientists says wut? Where? Which scientists exactly? Also, argument from ignorance = invalid argument. "I don't know the answer to X, therefore, God did it!". And what makes you think Heaven exists and that we'll go there?

    4. So its not spam. Your a moron.

I do believe in a god. And for everyone saying "Pic 4 Pruf!!1!"
Its a BELIEF, therefor, you BELIEVE IN IT. Whether its real or not, you BELIEVE. Just as if a 9 year old believes in Santa Claus.

Well why do you believe in a god? I'm allowed to ask - right?
You may believe it, but without evidence or logic behind it it is an irrational belief and there is not point debating it.

We have to realize that god is not an old man with beard, sitting on a cloud and looking at people. God is a power we cannot describe, we cannot explain. I believe in God.

Hey, you know, reading stickies don't hurt, yo. This is the sophisticated debate section, not the little-kids table where we gather around and enjoy a nice cuppa tea whilst discussing nothing. This is SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Read THIS sticky for a change.

    Well who knows.
Nobody can really say for sure, it's what you choose to believe.

I personally am not sure, But i do believe there is something after death.

    The Existence of God

Well, It's just something i do believe in, i can't really say why.

I guess it's like people who believe in god etc etc, I actually don't know what's there, but i believe there has to be something. If not then we're pretty screwed lol.

We'll find out sooner or later anyway ;P

    The Existence of God

Nonetheless, this "lack of belief" is based on a belief that God does not exist. Although this may be due to the fact that you have not observed God, this is not enough evidence to reject God. As a result, you are making an inductive leap, just like the people who believe in god.

Here is one definition of empirical evidence
With the example of Santa Clause we can disprove his existence through empirical methods. The claim that Santa visits every well-behaved child's house and climbs down every well-behaved child's chimney can be tested. We can observe what happens to children who do not have chimneys. We can observe what happens to these children who are socio-economically disadvantaged. Even for those children who do have chimneys, we can observe what happens if we stay up all night waiting for Santa or Reindeer. We can also take another approach. We could also observe that, physically, and mathematically, visiting every child, who has a chimney, is not possible. All of these are examples of empirical evidence that effectively disprove the existence of Santa. Empirical evidence is certainly capable of affirming a negative.

True, but perhaps some of those claims are true. A myriad of claims does not discredit or support the notion of god. It only takes one valid (near-impossible to assert) claim to prove the existence of God.

Why does experiencing God have to violate the laws of physics? Why do you believe this?

This "God" debate is never-ending. Neither side will be able to prove their case beyond a doubt. Whether you do or do not believe in god requires some sort of biased, inductive leap. Either way you are forced to believe.

When it comes to god, "to each its own."

Well why do you believe that there has to be something? If you critically examine this belief of yours enough, you should be able to find a reason.

Incorrect. A lack of belief is not a belief. I disbelieve in talking New World monkeys until I see evidence of them - but I do not believe that they do not exist, I merely lack belief in them.

And the definition of Santa Claus can be altered - say, to one who used to climb down chimneys, but now hides in the North Pole, or thereabouts.

A claim does not prove the existence of God.

A mystical experience is a miracle. A miracle is a violation of the laws of physics. Please re-read my previous post.

If you cannot understand that a lack of belief is not a belief in itself, then you cannot understand my position, and have no place in arguing with me.
