Active Moderators.

Well, I've noticed some Moderators haven't been doing they're jobs, I know they can't spend every waking moment Moderating, but there is like 6 Moderators on the "Report A Scammer Section", and people haven't had a reply in days, weeks, and months. Especially the people who make disputes on the "Dispute Section", days have gone by and no answer from a Moderater.

Nothing against the Moderators, and I don't want bad feedback from this.

I know the Moderators of Sythe will be very offensive after reading this, but I speak for the ones who can't speak for themselves, scammers or not. You're a volunteer Moderator, there is hundreds of people who use this website daily and expect a well done job from the staff, you guys are great and all, and I know most of you are doing a hell of a job.

Questions:

1) Why are the people who use the IRC have a more likely chance of being a Moderator?

 

I agree that the mods should pay a Little more attention to the report a scammer section. Besides that The mods do seem to be quite active.

 

Although i agree with you to some extent, there are quite a few mods who actually are trying to help everyone, tho i have noticed in quite a few appeals and such, they don't provide quite enough evidence, either that or the person who get's banned, just ban evades...

Some spammers been around for a few days. Takes seconds to ban.

 

Also, to clarify something. I'm not posting this to say we need new Moderators, I'm posting this to say we need to improve our Moderators, and demote our un-active Moderators.

 

But getting new mods would be nice

 

It's not so hard to spend some time at 'Report a scammer' section and banning scammers. More moderators won't help, specially if most of them will be lazy.

 

I know some Moderators are doing an execellent job, like Pen, Giddy and more. Then there are slackers, who really don't do there jobs, they like do something else. I think they should be demoted for those actions.

Maybe you're unaware, but when I was active on Sythe, most of the Moderators only got promoted because they communicated with the staff on the IRC alot.

 

sorry MegaMatt, ShameOnYou is right. most of the moderators come from the IRC, but that's because its more active there, and its more realtime.

 

i agree with you.. but i dont.. they need some more work tho.

There are WAY too much unactive moderators.

Some active ones ban without giving a reason. ( I pronounce expirience. )

Anyways, we need new Mods, big time.

Get over it. We aren't getting anything for doing this don't complain it isn't perfect. I loo kafter my section and do some scam reports thats it. maybe if users stopped filling RaS sections with pointless unimportant threads with incorrect proof and so on we would consider going there a bit more... half the threads there are packed full of crap that is useless...

I will admit some staff are too inactive but others do fine. I am sick of people generalizing the staff as lazy and not working. We do a LOT of shit you dont see... if you could see the WoW sections and the amount of threads i am moderating there you would understand

 

I'm just saying our Moderators that are unactive should be demoted and replaced, this website generates alot of money, and people depend on the Moderators to do theyre jobs, volunteerd or not, maybe you shouldn't be a Moderator if you just post 3x a day. (I'm not say this directly at you, I'm saying this to the actual Moderators who do this their daily schedule.).
