PvP Loot Improvements!

I'm sure ALOT of people were waiting for this, I certainly have!

This week, we have made some improvements to the amount of loot you can gain while fighting other players on PvP worlds.

We have noticed that many players on PvP worlds choose to leave some of their drops on the ground, rather than pick them up or bank them. This is because the drops are often too low in value to justify picking them up. We have, therefore, implemented two changes to the way drops work on PvP worlds:

1) Drops are now slightly more weighted towards a few, higher-value drops, rather than lots of low- or medium-value ones.

2) Overall, we have made the drops a bit more generous.

Note: there is no change in the frequency of 'useful' drops (e.g. food and potions).

Hopefully PvP will finally be somewhat worthwhile, I havn't been PvPing after the first week when I realized I was down 2M-.-

Just got a kill at feldip hills who said he had a corrupted d chain. Addy sq as drop >_> lol

 

Hopefully this will mean I no longer lose a quarter mil every day I decide to pk >.<

 

Well , all drops i've gotten today was over 75k , but that doesn't mean i started to profit out with my pure. No , i still get poisoned bolts and other craps .

However, i haven't tryed staying in hotzone for 30 mins or more.
If anyone did , please tell your loot.

 

I know man just in time to, started my new pure so hopefully I can make cash off of this now

what did they do improve the items by 5gp?
Jagex, Fails again =)

 

they just took out most of the crap so you don't get like 20 trout but just 5 and add the amount to the main drop

 

Seems like a really easy way to get money now.

I just tried and pretty much got the same crap as I got before.

Jagex have a way of making me believe they actually got in a good update, then when I go and try it out they fail harder than before.

I'm going to try staying in the hot spots while alching and then try to see if I get anything good.

 

My friend got a dfh PK today and I got 3 kills and all were 200k+ loot, so I really do think that they did improve them quite a bit.

 

I'm just glad that Jagex seems to be trying to improve it, instead of leaving it with such shitty drops. I also like that they have given us a clear guide on what affects the drop rates.

 

Yea, the old shitty JaGeX would just say, yea you can get good drops but (their usual exscuse) due to RWT'ing we can't "disclose" that.

Do you understand what the update is talking about? It's not that you'll keep more stuff when you die, but you'll get more stuff when you kill them.


Also, doesn't this mean that the 25K method will yield better results?

Eh, did you read my post thoroughly?
I died 5 times before I gave up, so I never got to really see if drops were better.
