    PayPal Button.

My suggestion is just a little button on the top right, where we have “MSN”, “Skype”, ect. that has a little “P” for paypal, and links to someone’s paypal address. When you click on it; it could have “Send money to this user” and “Donate to this User” buttons. Would make it a lot easier since not many people use same paypal as their IM email. It would be a lot easier to donate to member’s after they did something (ie. “heres a free sig, a donation wouldn’t hurt ;)”). Too often have I received my payment to someone and forgot to ask their paypal adress. I have to wait for them sometimes a few days till I can pay. This would obviously be optional, for people who didn’t want to share this information with others, but I think it's a really great simple idea; that would save alot of hassle. Support/Disagree/Discuss.

    Sincerely,
    Snowboard-Ninja

EDIT: It could look like this (the paypal button)

And when you clicked the link...

I like the idea, but keeping it where your msn is might clog that area :/

Maybe having it like the place to your profile, where you click on the person's name and a drop down menu appears, will make it easier and clearer.

No offence, but if you sell something like a sig etc, you can just give the person your paypal email, not have them DONATE to you.

You can also already make buttons like this in you're threads so if you want to make a "Click Here To Donate" button you already can, making this totally useless.

Maybe you didn't realize but most people DONT use the same email for msn as for Paypal. Personally I wouldnt want my pay pal posted on sythe either.

Another idea would be a confirmed paypal button where like sythe has you donate $1 to see that your paypal account is verified etc. and hey they make money in the process ;) There are ways of sending money without being verified or being credit card funded so maybe some way of checking that before getting the button? IDK trying to make sythe money and making more trustable people.

Well, it seems that people keep on stealing from Deacon's Sythe. First, the Community Mod, and now a Donate to User as well.

    I do not support this.

Just ignore him. He's attacking **** + Deacon to gain rep with the staff.

I support as long as it is optional to add my own PayPal address.

This is a great idea, and maybe we could make the icons a bit bigger? They are so tiny I didn't even notice them at first, heh :embar:

It's alot harder to remember for a busy person like myself. If you fill in the wrong paypal adress it won't send the money in the first place, unless there just happened to be a person with an email identicle to the typo you made, and just so happened to use that email on paypal. It will say "Sorry invalid Paypal User" if you try to send money to the wrong adress. But I still would like to know why you don't think this is a good idea, so post away.

I think this is a good idea, and you have took your time into thinking about this.

I think the idea would work well in a different place rather than located next to the Aim, Yahoo and MSN buttons as:

    1. You might missclick when wanting to go to someones MSN and open up a brand new window and send an email to someones Paypal adress.

And 2. Would this button be like the others where you click to email, or would it, when you click open up a new Tab/Browser and have paypal open with the persons paypal address ready to send them money?

Also i would like to know how many people would hand out there paypal addresses for no apparent reason anyways, I think Sythe is fine in how it is now, where if you need someone's paypal you can just email to them asking for it?

I'm not doubting the security of the button s im sure it would be perfectly safe, as you would have an option where YOU can choose weather or not you want to give your paypal address out.

Good Idea, Keep up the work,

    Repeatz

Users donate to eachother all the time, whether it be for a sig, or for a task that someone did for free.

You miss the point, this would keep people FROM putting in the wrong paypal address, this would make it so much easier for people who do stuff for free (Like tut runs, or sigs) to receive donations when they deserve it, and most people feel awkward about putting their paypal on their thread, this reduces the hassle of pm'ing and waiting for someone to come online/message back, and it makes it a lot less awkward.

    Good idea.
However, i think the button should be somewhere else as it would make the Email buttons more cluttered.

Also by making a "PAYPAL" text logo that hyperlinked to the donation part.
