I just don't understand how you plan on getting the item for trade price if it is worth more on the streets.

This is VERY Simple..Buy an item for street price..trade the item for regular GE Price (in trade menu) And then resell for street price.

    its not that hard jeez.

    EXAMPLE:
    Transfering from main to pure.

on your main, buy a 3rd age mage ammy for street price = 30m

now buy it in trade price on your pure with 24m cash.

finally, sell it for 30m again on your pure. <-- reason you need junk

im a 3rd age merchant, ill try to explain geez..

so you havve you fucking loaded account, a 3a ammy trade price is 24m. in world 2, people sell the ammys for about 70m not 30, anyways. you buy the ammy from the seller, you pay 70m cash, they give you the ammy and they give you a unch of junk.

Main:has ammy and tons of junk

now your main has the ammy, its street price is 70m, and you can sell it for that ammount, but its trade price is 24m.

    Pure:has 24m cash

you multi log, your main sells your pure the ammy for 24m, then you go on your pure and sell it for 70m. its not the best way but if anyone wants to do this just give me a pm, i know ways of getting rid of junk. (example, buy a bandos plate for 10m cash and some junk, and then sell it for 11m, people actually do this. and some junk is better then others, try to get dragon stones, make glorys with assist, and sell.)
and if anyone needs proof i know what im talking about, i will show you my 3a mage top and bottom in rs :p

conclusion: for your every day transfers, stick with BH. this is best if your pure has alot of junk...(Every pure needs 99 fletch, why not get it with maple longs (u) )

the most pratical use is if you actualy needed the item, say you have a dds pure and want d claws, well they cost alot. (this is a simple version of the x-fering meathod)
all you do, is go to world two on your main, and buy some d claws, you might end up paying 10-25m, depending on how many sellers there are. (more sellers means extreme prices, they are trying to be better then eachother, with more sellers the price is either going to be really low, or really high. with only a few sellers, you will pay a mederate ammount)
so you buy your claws and get ripped off on your main (stuck with the junk), so now you simple sell the claws to your pure, and your pure ends up paying like 500k instead of 10m

now because im explaining is sugar-coated, if you were to try and cash xfer, after your pure has the claws, you go to world two and try to sell them for what your main bought them.

    1)main buys d claws 10m
2)main sells claws 500k to pure, main gets stuck with 9.5m junk
3)pure has claws, pure paid only 500k for them
4)pure goes to world 2, and sells the claws for 10m.
5)main has 9.5m junk, pure has 10m cash.

you could buy the ammy, or other 3a and merch it, 3a merching is the best becasue the market has no set prices. i made 170m in a week 3a merching :)

This was explained already, but I'll try to break it down a bit more for those who still don't understand it.

The "trade" or "market" price is the actual price that an item can be sold for in the Grand Exchange or in a direct item-for-gold trade, plus or minus 5%.

The "street" price, is the price the item sells for in a direct trade. To inflate the price, the trader adds a lot of "junk" items.

So for example, a 3rd Age Amulet has a trade price of about $24 million. It's sold on the street for $70 million. To do this, the seller offers the 3rd age amulet and about $46 million worth of junk. To buy the amulet, the tradee has to also buy all of the junk.

The reason that it's pointless to RWT/transfer gold like this in practice is because the account getting the gold needs to have a large amount of junk to begin with, which most don't have. Also, there's no need to trade a rare item. All the account getting the gold has to do is trade the junk all by itself.
