    Windows Booting Error~Please Help

    Hi Guys,

When I tried to turn on my other pc, which is the better one and I need it, it said following:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
    <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.
    ~~
Ok, I already burned ntoskrnl.exe onto a CD-ROM, but nothing happens when I insert it in the disk. It would be really helpful if any of you guys could help. Also I'd give you a mega vouch c: .

Well, I am looking forward for people that take their time to help me, Thanks~ Friedrich

Go download the windows recovery disc of vista or xp, than there should be something like "fix my computer", and it will replace all missing files.

You can use the installation disc of Vista too, boot using the CD, go to repair options -> fix start up problems.

    Windows Booting Error~Please Help

    - Make a DOS boot disk
    - Copy ntoskrnl.exe onto the boot disk
    - Boot your computer into DOS
    - Use DOS commands to copy the file from your disk into the appropriate windows folder on your hard drive

Doing this you would learn a lot more than the other solutions... and you can find tons of help about how to make a DOS boot disk or about using DOS all over the internet.
