    Vouches = trust wtf?

If you decide if a person is trusted or not on vouches, then you are a noob if can't see the difference between "Vouch for yo momma, trained me from level 1-20 firemaking. I trust her with my life" and "Huge vouch for yo momma. Swapped my level 120 for her 130. She even went first. She's awesome, and very trustworthy!".

I agree with seph, Also make sure the vouches are real. I know their are people out their that forge vouches easily. Also use a MM, that is why they are here. Also you can't just make vouches count for people with certain credentials. I know their are legit people out their with low post count but like 50+ vouches!!!. So really it just all depends, make sure to do that background check, search threw thread for multiple scam complaints. Just a suggestion

Ok ur suggestion will make much more scammers.
    Why?
Because people will keep selling their mains , get vouch and recover account back. Then sell again , get vouch and recover. And only soon as they get 100 vouches they might stop.

I agree that vouching for free stuff is meaningless unless you take a risk

    For example
If you where new to runescape, and your best account was 38 combat, But you where satisfied with it, And you trusted somone on it even to do simple quests like Dragon Slayer or Rune Mysteries then you still risked getting scammed, wether you where paying them or not.
So i believe if somone else is getting on your account you should be free to vouch them.

you should be able to vouch for ALMOST anything someone does for you. just use your own judgement and decide if there vouches are worth your trust or not.

It's a good idea. It's a lot like feedback from ebay. But what I think would happen is (Stupid) people would give negative for no reason.

Well, let's see.. Well, vouches helped me a lot in trading and people that say: "Vouches mean nothing!" - you are wrong. They do mean that the dude did trades, that they were successful and that yours could be also successful. Of course, when talking about those silly vouches for no trading (well, I've had few too, those were for giving away free names, that I thought were cool), well those vouches shouldn't mean nothing as there's no entrusting with something at all. You just give away that you have too much.

Suggestion: Only a man with 200+ posts and 20+ vouches can vouch. There should be some kind of vouch system that would have their own moderators, some kind of new section, like having some moderators see up the vouches, well, like looking up at IPs maybe some kind of proof, MSN log with saying sythe names+msn's+runescape acc names and in game pic of receiving/giving away payments.
Now imagine: I'm a leecher, I'm new in Sythe and I want to trade, I see the new system of vouching and I make some kind of Application to it, I'm finding members with who I would like to do trades and then after we did it we vouch each others, after you get 20 vouches from so called "Vouchers" (dudes that have the ability to vouch) and get 200 posts(well that could be also looked through those moderators if those posts were not just random spam and were with some kind of idea in it) then you become a "Voucher", you can vouch others too.

Well that'd be my idea.. Of course, the vouch count and the post count could be changed, but in my opinion, it's enough. By post count, I mean that after they got that 200 posts, then they would know something about Sythe, it's rules and everything. ^_^

How about we just blow the black market up? Then no more need for vouches! Its up to you to decide whether you trust the other person or not. Vouches help you in that decision.

Vouches can show if the person is trusted or not. I guess you can say they are proof of how trustworthy you are, without them you have no proof, Post count means nothing. Unless your a mod or admin, vouches are they only way to prove how much people have put trust in you.

Well we need some proof, that people can be trusted in some small way dont we? Thats why we ban for self vouching, and people look at vouche's strongly. If there were no vouche's then R2plesent for example, would be like the rest of us. In other words, we need some proof, and vouches are it.

You need to do smaller things, to build up to a higher level, thats why quest helping, skill training, etc.

In all honesty it is completely upto the user as too how they interpret vouches. YOU reading someones vouches can make your own descision... All vouches SHOULD be is a post stating that a trade was completed successfully by regular members and VOUCHES as such shouldn't really be around at all... byt that i mean...

posts saying "vouch for ??? he is super cool and trusted" are crap and should be ignored / deleted... and there should really only be vouches along the lines of

"traded my level 124 main for 500$ US trade went smooth everything works i am happy, couch for ???"

In all honesty if you use vouches as the method of gauging trust then get scammed it's your own fault... You should be able too tell the difference between legit and fake vouches... I know i can but then again i HAVE been on here for a damn long time

Well, pretty correct. Though if we're talking about less scamming in the site, then you should make some people that could be responsable for looking through vouches and deleting ones that does not look like real ones (more like fake ones).
