Just a lil question

ok, well i stopped playing Runescape like a year n 1\2 ago to play WoW, after this lich king crap (just meant more leveling) i kinda lost interest for a while. when i tried to log onto my RS account the PW was wrong, so i recovered it n what not to figure out that som1 had hacked my account & was playing it all this time. i left it at like level 76 n now its level 100, but to my point, somehow he managed to get 10\10 black marks (amazingly not banned) & perm-muted. i was just wondering if there is someway to call some account management hot line like blizz has to get this sorted out cuz 300 letters is not enough to plead my case.

 

They don't have any line to call or anything like that. The only thing you can do is submit a last chance appeal telling them directly what happened, word for word. The more information they have the more likely it is that your account will be unmuted and/or have the black marks lowered. This happens to a lot of people and a good portion of people are able to get their accounts back. I recently recovered my very first account from RS Classic about a month ago, but he's level 3 on Runescape now so I didn't play him. all I did was tell them exactly what happened and they were pretty leinant.

 

thats a problem, i did that and now they locked the account, so i put in another appeal with a lot of details from when it was first created (i actually remembered my first PW ) so i'm hoping that will be enough to get it unlocked, but even after that theres still the mute & marks, and considering that the "last chance appeal" was used n it got it locked........ :'( there a way to possibly talk to an in-game mod with a 2ndary account or something?

 

The locked it on purpose, whenever someone uses their last chance appeal they lock the account for security reasons, then you need to submit an appeal to unlock an account (can take up to a week) and then they will move on to the last chance appeal.

 

oh ok, that makes sense. do you know the average time it takes for a lock to be processed by any chance? well i guess i'll just keep botting my other account & playing gears2 until the lock is gone, tyvm for your help

 

Yeah I've had my accounts locked many times and the longest it took was over a week, but for a forgotten password it will take about 2 hours.

 

The longest lock I had was for two weeks, but it was denied after that, so I'm not sure.

 

well dam it :'( i was hoping to play it this weekend when the bank pin went bye bye on Saturday T_T

 

you definitely won't be able to play this weekend lol. Locked account recovery is the slowest process for Jagex because there's so much information that they need to look into in order to unlock to account, because they don't want to unlock it if it's a hacker trying to unlock it.

 

oh, before i forget, my friend has an account but it was like 1\2 banned because it was in "negative credits" due to a billing error on a membership. would simply timing the account unlock the account or would there be more steps involved in that process?

 

what do you mean "timing" the account?

 

i'm still able to enter the account info area & by timing i mean adding membership to the account

 

that should work. Because if it was a billing issue where they didn't get enough money, giving them the correct amount should resolve it

On Official runescape forums there is a foruma bout locked/muted account reviews you can ask for in General>Account review(sticky)

You will probaly need a freind to post on your behalf

 

that is true, i was looking into that but then even the general forums are members only now, i mean WTF are they thinking, i could see y the marketing forums were members n whatnot but even the general.... -_-

well considering all my friends are either playing WoW or Xbox & due to me just coming back to RS, i have no1 to ask in-game, is there som1 out there that would like to plead my case by some chance?

 

I wish people could do that, like if you had an alibi but they don't have anything like that

 

oh, i was just thinking of som1 posting in there with something like "hey my friend ________ had this happen...... blah blah (story) blah, what can he do to get his account back in his control only" but then again i haven't read up on RS's rules and i'm not gonna ask any1 is thats against there TOS.
