Help With The Xbox 360

Not been on Sythe for a while now, just popping by as I have a question.

Well long story short, i'm going to be getting an Xbox 360 Premium. I want to go online and I realise it's going to cost via a monthly subscription. Can you first of all tell me how to set it all up to get online and how they take the money, also tell me how much it is per month or year.

Next, after i've bought the Xbox 360 Premium, what is it I have to buy with it? All I want is the basics, no fancy stuff. My mate said I need a Wireless Adaptar or something. Tell me if that's right or if I need anything else to go online.

To sum that up, please can someone tell me the following:

• How to get online (I belive I have to connect it up to my computer but I need to do so wireles, explain). Also explain how I start my subscription and how much it is.
• The basic gear I need to get online, no fancy stuff like the webcam, just things to enable me to get online and play with my friends or randomers.

well, you dont need a wireless adapter, you can just unplug your ethernet cable from your computer and plug it into the ethernet port on your xbox 360.

Also you can buy xbox live cards at walmart or something, like 3 months or 6 or a year they have different choices. Its not much at all. Hope i could help!

 

If you want to use wireless internet, you will need to buy a wirless adapter for it. I'm unsure how much they cost. Besides that, to get online you just need to subscribe or Xbox Live. If i'm not mistaken, I believe a card for 13 months costs 50-60 bucks.

 

Do what I did, and buy a 10M Ethernet Cable.

I needed to buy three and 2 splitters, as it's quite a distance from my router to my Xbox (Living room to my room).

But yeah, that's about it.

LIVE via Credit Card can bought in monthly amounts, as you can with Prepaid Cards.

1 Month = £4.99 (or £5.99, can't remember)
3 Month = £14.99
12 Month = £39.99

All you really need for online is a Mic, so you can chat to people. It costs around £8 if I remember correctly.
