    Chirstmas Gift.

    My family isnt wealthy at all, And my mom asked me and my brother if we could have 1 thing for Christmas what would it be. my little brother (hes 13) says he wants a 4 wheeler, ps3, xbox 360, ect. and my brother knows were broke so i guess he was kidding. I asked my mom what was her limit and she said around $150(thats for 2 teenagers with barley anything and one 4 yr old), and she said this 2 days ago and she lost her job today so im not so sure now. i have been saving up for quite awhile now getting money any way possible (selling "trees" is my main income) and after this batch i will have enough to get a xbox 360. so what should i tell my mom? She will start asking questions and all, because she knows i smoke and hang around the "wrong" people and she knows i couldnt get that kind of money "honestly".

    now that ive told my life story heres my options

    1. let my mom get gifts.
    2.my mom and i get the gifts together.
    3. or tell my mom not to worry about it and get it myself?

    No im not trying to make people feel bad for me or my family in any way.
    Im just stuck on what to do.

    If you tell her not to worry about getting anything she'll feel bad.

    I don't know, just tell her you sell weed and if she had a half decent job then you wouldn't have to do that.

    1 bag of food last 2-3 months and cost .... 15-30 dollars at most. don't buy the expensive crap because usually its bad for your dog. a rope knot toy thing cost like 5 dollars if you make one yourself. a can of tennis balls cost 5 dollars too. and most people have 2 metal bowls at home. besides that enough said.

    leash=5-10 dollars
    collar=5-10 dollars
    brush=5-20 dollars

    1. let my mom get gifts.

    Because to help your family is the best route. I mean buying a 360 after your mom just lost her job and she is trying todo the best for you and your brothers. I say save the money and keep it in saving for emergencies, because living in risky situation like that you never know when 200-400$ could be of a huge help. Or at least save it until your mom gets a job and gets back on her feet. At least that is what I would do.

    Dogs often get sick. If you can't afford to pay for it to go to the vet then its better off without you. Therefore you shouldn't get a dog. It's not a case of "what if" its "when", because all dogs will get sick at some point.

    Although she may hate you, it may be that you could say this is money that you have been stealing from her so that you could buy "trees" to smoke. Although she may hate you, your family will get a Christmas. Its just my viewpoints on the idea (this after living with my brother who was a drug dealer at the time).

    A cat sounds better. They are way more independant and they rarely get sick etc. They are a lot easier to look after than a dog.

    If you are poor, than cancel your internet. It is virtually useless, considering if she has no job, she can't be using it to make income.

    And. Ask for nothing. A couple of years ago, my mom's business went down for a bit, and hard to draw out all of her cash to pay her employee's. I accecpted nothing-along with my brothers- and we were very plesant. We did not bitch and moan about it. Now that she is set with enough money, lots, she appretiated it, and she is paying back the favor.

    Just ask for nothing. Dont try to be a hero, that will make your mom TERRIBLY sad. Seriously, she will feel horrible.

    Accecpt the rough times, and wait for better times. Thats the best I can give you.
