How to join a "CAL" Team

CAL is a league that is used for many PC games. Here is a list of the games:




America's Army
Call of Duty
Company of Heroes
Counter Strike
Counter Strike: Condition Zero
Counter Strike: Source
Day of Deafeat
Day of Defeat: Source
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
Halo 3
Left 4 Dead
Metal of Honor: Airborne
Quake 4
Team Fortress 2
Unreal Tournament 3

CAL stands for Cyberathlete Amateur League

There are also a few "Calibers" you should know about.

Open Registration: (Used in DOD/DODS) Teams are placed here if they do not meet the player requirements or if the fail to show up for to many matches.
Open: A caliber anyone can be on, no matter what your experience is.
Intermediate: Most teams are moved up to Intermediate if they make playoff's during Open.
Main: Most teaams go here if they place top in there division in Open or make playoff's in Intermediate.
Invite: The highest rank,for the team that wins the "invite placement tournament."


The 1st step to joining a CAL team is going on to http://caleague.com

Next you want to create an account.
Click the button that says "Register" toward the middle of the screen:





Fill in the information it asks you to give.(The "Handle" Is the gaming name you will use in game, This can be changed at any time)
After you hit "Register" an email should be sent to you with your new CAL password.

Login with the information that was emailed to you.
When you log on go to "Change Password" to create your new password.





You Should be logged out automatically, log back in with your new password.

Now find the game in which you want to join in the scoll section on the top right of the screen.





On the bottom right if you scroll down you can find out whether the rosters are open to join here is an example:






If you can join click "Join Division" on the right hand side.
Now you can choose whether to join an existing team or create your own.
In eather case you will need to know your Unique ID.
Such as, if your playign a game on STEAM you will need to type your STEAM id in this format x:x:xxxxxxx

Now after you finish joining/creating a team you are all set for CAL
