Musician Section

Tunes Analysis have plenty of room for musicians.

Theres a few threads in there that people have recorded themself playing and share it with others. Or they share lyrics etc.

A new forum would just be a waste of space.

I disagree with this suggestion.

 

How would it be a waste of space if people would use it? Also, how would it effect you if you weren't using it? It's not a detriment, it can only enhance the community and experience.

EXACTLY. The point is to help and correct other people on their music. Much like the images in the graphics section. I myself would love to have people explain to me personally how to sweep pick an finger tap. People helping you is the whole point, while you get to share your creativity.

 

I agree, ive was ranked number 3 drummer in NC for 4 year's running.
id love to have this section to help some people out with learning.

Not only music, but also other arts i.e. singing, drawings, flash animations etc.

Why on earth are you referring yourself in the 3rd person if you looked I quoted you not him. your idea's are for all the wrong reasons.

Music has very little computers where are you getting that from? unless you're talking about some forms of trans\techno etc.

People may want it all they want but if there are not enough people interested it's not going to happen.

Drawing\sketching I can see possibly happening but not for a while I would think

But musician's there are a lot here everyone and there mother plays guitar and most take up band sometime during there schooling. It's quite a big thing.

This would never become inactive for the same reasons I stated before. An it wouldn't be wasted if as others have said people are getting use out of it.

It won't be for just getting famous or something on the site it will be for helping others in the musical art's [which I am always up for doing as well as many other good musicians on the site] and for getting critiqued on your own work Which everyone and I mean EVERYONE needs you can never be at your peak there is always something you can upgrade at one point or another. This is why this gets my vote 110%

I agree. There are just not enough musician-threads on TA and too much mediocre and crappy rap artists.
It would be fun to be able to post your own songs, or something you learned, to share your ideas on making music.

 

I support as I'd like to talk to other musicians about music, etc.

It would also be in the forum I use most, so I'll be more active in this section than any other forum with music related sections.

EDIT: I play guitar (electric and classical), piano and violin(dropped it this year ).

 

I'm for it totally for it! And I think there are quite a few musicians on Sythe, unless they're just no-lifers who just SAY they can play an instrument to sound cool.

I play guitar mostly, but I play drums in a band and I occasionally play the piano/keyboard, lol.

Not everyone in TA are musicians, and having this section would filter out content from people who aren't interested, and to the ones who are.

 

Hah. I think this is a great idea, I make techno/screamo songs out of my house, and i've got good ones. I own a great MIC and many programs specifically for recording great sound and editing it to sound even better, i would love to have a section to chat with other musicians and even post lyrics/music ideas.
maybe even find somone to make guitar riffs for my lyrics.

In-Tox-Icate is 100% for the idea of adding a music Section xD

See now this is getting out of control we even have mods arguing in here lol.

There are Four main activities that computer users take part in (hobbies other than gaming.)

-Chatting (We have that covered IRC)
-Programming, Scripting (We Have that covered)
-Graphic arts (we have that covered)
-Music (it is covered to an extent that appeals to the majority of users would want to partake in. Tunes Analysis)

As this thread is getting out of hand and we already have enough forums I have to revoke my support. IF you have your own tunes you'd like people to analyze feel free to post them in tunes analysis as many have already been doing. If you need tips on guitar etc head over to www.ultimate-guitar.com there is a great guitar and music forum available on that site where you are more likely to get professional support if you need help.

You revoke your thoughts because a mod disagrees? You can't discover the majority of users in your mind. If people are interested in a section dedicated to playing music, why is it a problem with you?
