But yes, according to what you said, it is awaiting a boost. I knew Cursed_You, he had max money 3 weeks before he was banned. (That's after he sold all his phats.) He told me that because of the RWT, he's heard from some of his mates JaGex are planning to remove staking from the game (he didn't know weither they would just remove the Duel Arena, place a cap, or what). He said after that, when all the rares have crashed completely, they will boost, as people will start buying them when they are cheap.

I still don't have a clue how he estimated that.

 

Even if there is, they couldn't do anything about it , the disclaimer/waiver makes sure of that. But I thought they could do anything they wanted, knowing that if they did, JaGeX would pretty much rape them?

 

not bad, I read the whole thing. In depth which is a bonus and most of it or all of it being true. Party hats will be on the rise possibly, but not by alot, in 2010 I wouldn't really be suprised if they dropped from where they are at now. The update has been out for almost a year and everything is still dropping and noone are able to sell :/ but in the same sense your side could happen as well. Only time will tell...

I didn't play RS for a year or so and it suprised me the prices had dropped so dramatically.

No point in lying, the only people who have played that long are Rab, Andrew, Merlin, Lightning, Ian, Paul, and Gugge. It wasn't even called runescape then it was called deviousMUD.

I don't play runescape anymore for one thing. I do this to make money. I've made a total of over 500USD, over the short time I've been using sythe. I'm not just some kid who spends all day insulting other people online because he's insecure about his own shit of a life. say im wrong but runescape can easily be better then w0w? too many stupid updates, randoms that are fucking annoying, making it so you cant do shit with your own money, whats next??? i have been around since rsc i miss it i really do. highest phat i had was a white never a blue. this game is seriously going down hill. in rsc i used to cuss like a pirate, now i cant say g e y without get muted for 5 days. started up after quiting for high hopes that pvp would be worth playing again i was wrong. achieved 4.6 black marks in little under a month its fucking pathetic.

 

if mechscape is a joke then its really big one. theres youtube vids of a gamer convention and someone from jagex was advertising mechscape. joke? i think not.

 

I thought mechscape wasn't involved with runescape but was a space game made by jagex. Lol you don't see rs2 dying from funorb do you?

 

funorb is just a bunch of shitty java based flash games. funorb sucks ass, jagex only made it so the little 8 yr olds could do something that thier brain can handle.

mechscape is going to be another browser based MMORPG like runescape, but its going to be futuristic. u know how runescape is in like, the middle ages? jagex is making one based in the future.

This won't happen. Now that there are more and more "cool" items in runescape as well as very expensive armor (3rd age, bandos) people can show their riches just by good armor (contrary to back in the day when there was only rune and few pieces of dragon)

party hats have come more of a novelty item and not much more. I estimate the prices will stay the same. Jagex is trying to introduce more and more rare items into the game to compensate for the expensive partyhats. eventually there will be enough and partyhats will drop even more.

the best thing to do is buy them while they are low then force the prices up a bit. however they will never be anything crazy like 5.5billion. nobody really likes them as much as people did back in the day.

Have you ever even played Runescape? Seriously. A item's value is based on, the rate at which they leave and enter the game - How many are spawned (drops, ect) vs. How many are destroyed (alched, player quit, dropped, deaths). The reason party hat's are worth so much is because there is no way to create one - once they are gone, they are gone for good - as with all rares. Party hat's value has nothing to do with how much people "like" them. How many people like christmas cracker's? You can't even show them off yet they are worth over 700million gold peices. Please, next time; think before you post.
