I have a complaint

Having only joined in the last 3 days you should take a month or so to analyze a situation and particular system PRIOR to attempting to point out it's flaws.

The job of a User Educator is not necisairily to post guides, you are looking at one small aspect of a far greater picture. They are simply here to assist newcomers to sythe and sythe members a like with whatever possible queries that they have. Each User Educator has his own fortes so to speak and was choosen because of those strengths coupled with their enjoyment in teaching others.

What you must also realize is that User Educators do not know everything, nor should you read a post by them and believe it's true, everyone makes mistakes. Simply because you are more intelligent in some aspects of life does not make you a better educator than they. They do however from their rank earn an irritating habit of attempting to answer every question EVEN if they do not know the answer. This is the only flaw that I have come across with user educators.

The same flaw winds up being present in mods, the longer you're a mod the less you put up with things, the less warnings you give, the less forgiving you become. It is evolution into your rank. Unfortunately user educators fall prey to being stuck in trying to keep up to what people expect of them in their rank.

So yes, some of them over post, and others post things which they shouldnt or know nothing about, does this make them bad at their job? No, because for the most part they still educate people, and the times they are wrong wind up being corrected by someone else.

Once again you are fairly new here, but think about the whole picture before you post, no one is good at everything, and with rank comes pressure and a sense of responsibility, think about it.

The trouble is that the UEs have no knowledge worth imparting, and lack the writing skill to impart it.

 

Not that I know anything more than anyone else, or that I can add anything useful to this thread... But this is a site where 10-16 year olds-mainly- come to sell runescape stuff, and buy runescape stuff. Once they spend enough time on here, and realize runescape gets boring, they move on to different sections. Once there, they realize they are smarter than the other 10-15 year olds browsing this site who post random things for postcount, and not for legit reasons. Once they realize this, they think, "Hmm, I am pretty damn smart." They are not necessarily thinking they are smart, they think they can contribute to the like 5% who actually care. They do. I personally have learned alot from the guides on sythe, and found your one guide very useless. Where are we going to use that math thing you made a guide for? This site is for 10-15 year olds. Not advanced people who actually care for education.

Your arguement is invalid, considering the majority of the people here were only here for runescape, which probobly kills your IQ of like 20 points... Than they just assume once they quit they are smart.

I dont know if that made sense, it did to me, and I feel it explains why people join the UE/make UE posts.

Thats my little useless thought of all of this jumble.

 

sorry I accidentally edited your post as I go through a spell check prior to posting, I have not changed anything you said merely the spelling which was accidental as I had forgotten entirely that I had quoted you, firefox has a build in spell check system I suggest you get it and use it as it only takes 10 seconds to fix things.

But I must ridicule your response entirely, just because the site is mainly comprised of 10-15 year olds does not mean that those who are given a rank as an educator should be teaching in such a way that their IQ is comparable to a 10-15 year old. Educators are supposed to be intelligent mature and wise, someone you can look up to and trust not to give you a false or useless answer. If UE's are dumbing things up so as to make it easier for 10-15 year olds to understand or if they are simply no more intelligent than the 10-15 year olds on here then there is indeed a problem.

And even though you may believe the UE's have no knowledge to impart, they still answer basic questions adequately, and others in a way that the majority of the sites users may comprehend their response. I do agree that some UE's shouldn't be UE's. But that's life you think George Bush really should have been president? No but you were given a choice between dumb and dumber and made the best of it. If there aren't enough UE's to reply to threads, they must add a new one, and generally the pickings are slim when it comes to people who are willing to waste time posting back on questions to 10-15 year olds.

Bluntly I do indeed think that on some levels the UE system needs a rework, and yes some of them need to be fired as the quality of posts are indeed deteriorating BUT it is not quite as horrible as you surmise it to be. Maybe this thread will open a couple of UE's eyes who knows. So far all we've gotten is one UE who simply complained that you used him/her as an example. Maybe one of them will come to their rescue in your eyes. Maybe.
