Terminology
In the following listed terms, the terminology used is defined as follows and should not be misinterpreted as any other claim or definition prior to, during, or following the trading process.

The term “seller” or “the seller” refers to the trading party from whom I, @Liam, am purchasing the account.

Should a middleman be involved, the temporary holding of currency and/or virtual accounts will be considered to be in the possession of the middleman, referred to as “middleman”, “the middleman”, or “MM.” This should not be confused with the terms “seller” or “the seller.”

The terms “buyer” or “the buyer” refer to myself (@Liam).

The terms “disbursement” or “payout” refer to the funds sent by the buyer to the seller on the specified date on which the seller is owed payment for the account being sold.

The term “escrow” or “escrow period”, in this regard, refers to the time frame between the successful ownership transfer of the account from the seller to the buyer and the specified payout date.

Disbursement Terms and Conditions

1. Following successful ownership transfer of the account from the seller to the buyer and a brief in-game check of the account, the appropriate disbursement time will be scheduled (refer to disbursement terms further below).
   
   
2. The buyer will be the only entity with knowledge of the account login details following ownership transfer from the seller.* Therefore, any lock that occurs will be initiated by Jagex due to a geolocation change or by the original owner submitting a recovery request.
   
   
3. If the account is locked before the scheduled payout time, no disbursement will be made.
   
   
4. If the account receives any form of temporary or major (permanent) ban during the escrow period, the deal is considered canceled.
   
   
5. If the account appears in any Sythe.org blacklist topic for any reason whatsoever, including locked or archived topics, the transaction will be considered high risk and therefore canceled.
   
   
6. It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure that his/her PayPal email address is valid and capable of receiving United States Dollar payments. Any frozen or pending transactions are not the responsibility of the buyer.
   
   
7. If, for any reason whatsoever, the account may have been used for fraud and, as a result, has a negative “J Coins” balance, the transaction will be canceled.
   
   
8. Once the escrow period is over and the disbursement has been made, the deal is considered closed. Should the seller wish to reverse the transaction for any reason due to a change of heart, it is the seller’s responsibility to discuss this with the buyer in order to schedule a return of ownership. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the seller to pay any fees charged by PayPal or Bitcoin transactions.
   
   
9. Any recovery attempt or successful recovery of the account initiated by the seller and/or the account’s original owner after the disbursement has been cleared is considered a scam. Scams will not be tolerated, and a report will be published publicly on Sythe.org, with the account information submitted to relevant blacklists. If necessary, evidence will be forwarded to Jagex to ensure the account is not hijacked from unsuspecting purchasers in the future.
   
   
10. If the seller engages in a scam or attempts to recover the account, regardless of whether or not the attempt is successful, the buyer reserves the right to dispute the disbursement on PayPal, in accordance with PayPal’s Terms of Service. If the buyer deems it necessary, collection agencies may be involved to recover funds to the fullest extent permitted by local law and the law corresponding to the location of the seller. Should the seller’s location need to be identified, the buyer reserves the right to hire private investigators to the fullest extent permitted by law.
    
    
11. The seller accepts and is bound by all terms outlined in detail in this topic. If the seller changes their name, profile, or registers a new account during or after the trade is completed, they remain bound by these terms. The buyer is responsible for instructing the seller to review these terms during the initial discussion stage before the trade commences. The buyer is not responsible if the seller does not read these terms and will not seek evidence that the seller has read them carefully prior to further discussion or commencement of the trade. If a middleman is involved, it is at the middleman’s discretion whether he/she chooses to read these terms. Finally, if the buyer fails to instruct the seller to review these terms, then the buyer is in violation of his/her own terms. Should this occur for any valid reason, any trade that follows is undertaken at the buyer’s own risk.
    

⚠︎ NOTE: This clause places liability on both parties depending on notice. It is logically consistent but unusually self-binding.

1. The buyer will not use the account during the first seven (7) days of the escrow period, except for logging in to verify that the account is not locked or banned. This is intended to ensure a cooldown period from the previous owner’s activity.
   

*With the following exception:
(i) If a middleman is involved.

Escrow Period Terms and Conditions
The escrow period varies depending on the criteria outlined below. The seller should not take any of the following personally, as the buyer assures that these measures are standard procedure to ensure trades are conducted safely and smoothly.

1. Regardless of the number of vouches the seller has, join date, donor status, or any other factor that may be considered “trustworthy” by the Sythe.org marketplace, the minimum escrow period shall be ten (10) days.
   
   
2. “Days” are calculated according to the Beijing Time Zone.
   
   
3. The escrow period for all Max Cape and ex-Max Cape accounts is fourteen (14) days.
   
   
4. The escrow period for all Completionist Cape and ex-Completionist Cape accounts is one (1) month, calculated as thirty (30) days.
