Why Does Vista Suck?

First I liked Vista, I've been using it for about a year. Just recently, about 2 days ago, I switched to XP. To tell you the truth, I could not be happier! XP Is so much faster than Vista. A good tip is to not install any updates. All the viruses now that are for XP are for the ones with updates. No updates no problems. Plus it's even faster.

 

vista owns.... and as for the speed? its called quad core and 4gb ram? doesnt lag at all, and for ppl about to go but what about gaming lag? its called a NVIDIA 9800GT 512mb Shared.... the operating system isnt the shit part, its your computer....

 

You need a decent OEM and Vista won't suck.

 

All the other flaws aside, I want to know who came up with the idea for UAC.

to cp i seriously though you would have some better excuse for why vista is bad... "i shouldnt have to buy extra hardware to run an os". if your computer is a few years old, obviously your going to have to upgrade at least your ram... and ram is EXTREMELY inexpensive nowadays. your going to have to buy that "extra hardware" sooner or later nobody is going to keep making new windows xp's forever.

Vista for one does not suck. It's just how everything works if several people say it sucks a load of people will no matter if they have tried it or not. Just how things work =/ I have vista myself and it's great!

 

yeah my dad bought the vista home edition or w/e and found out his computer couldn't run fast with vista unless he had like a 3gb ram, so he just kept in his closet lol

Vista takes way more then a OS should from a computer. And some people need money for things like eating out and the bus and don't have 2000 bucks to spend on a computer...

"Current technology"? As far as technology is concerned, Vista is a step backwards. Just because you need to buy the latest hardware doesn't mean that Vista itself is that well made.

 

I see no flaws with Vista after sp1, no compatibility issues or anything. You just can't use vista efficiently because your computer doesn't meet it's requirements. If you haven't noticed, all major manufacturing companies are selling their computers with 2-3gb ram, efficient processors and gpu cards. Unless you plan on using your outdated computer forever i suggest you get over whatever is in your mind about not spending 40$ on a couple sticks of RAM.

The only reason you see no flaws with Vista is because you've been using windows all your life. Of course you would see it as flawless.

Computer manufacturers are being forced to sell "high-end" (Should not even be called that since it is now common) computers just to keep up with the market and vista. That's how how it should be. I understand more powerful video cards for games and shit, but for an operating system, that's just unacceptable. You would get more performance on the same machine with XP installed over Vista.

There are no real advantages to switch over to Vista, unless you enjoy throwing money away.

Ever noticed how applications/games are more demanding for Vista than in XP? 'nuff said.

[examples can easily be found with games, as a requirement for 2GB in XP would require 2.5GB in Vista]

That's the reason why they're selling Vista with high specs - it sucks and eats your computer alive.

Vista Ultimate is the best out of all the Vista Versions. Basically the best there is atm

 

No computer can run vista efficiently because it is VERY INEFFICIENT its self.

Yea, if your buying cheap ram for a desktop.

If you want a Ãœber gaming computer, get the highest version of Vista, a great quad core, 8gb of ram, dual graphics cards, ect. If you just want a computer that runs fast, can play most games on medium or low settings, and is relatively cheap go with XP.

Not everyone one is:

a. Rich enough to afford a good Vista computer
b. Smart enough to make Vista more efficient
c. Smart enough to learn how to use Vista if they used XP before

The things that they are trying to sell vista with(In order of most important selling point to least important):

a. Parental Controls

f. Game Rating Controls

h. Ease of use (They should be sued for lying)

k. Parental Controls
l. Random Photo Shit
m. Random shit that any one that knows how to use a computer does not use

I have already listed my major problems with vista, and I will not repeat. They are trying to market vista to morons, and forcing those who already used XP and hate Macs to use their gay OS Vista.
