Jagex's Acc Trading Policies!

Well I'm basically setting up a website where every week I give away a free botted Runescape account with over 60 in a skill. Anyway, so that Jagex doesn't get mad (I know that they won't but I just want to be sure because I'm not old enough to go to court) I'm going to set it up so that I send the person a joke as their prize (eg. What was the password to ***? *****! Hahaha. That isn't breaking any of Jagex's policies, is it? Because it's not sending anyone the account information. It's just a coincidence... the same way South Park doesn't get sued because it's a coincidence that Paris Hilton is in their cartoon. Anyway that's kinda long but I just wanted to know your thoughts.

 

If you give it away it's against the rules. If you sell it it's illegal.

The account is the property of Jagex. How would you like I if I sold your car? I'm not condoning account selling I'm just stating the facts.

 

It's nothing like that. If anything it's like buying and selling a lease on your car.

 

You're not leasing the account, it's not your property.

 

What if I told a funny joke about your car? That's legal. Jagex can't get mad if I tell jokes with the username and password included.

It isnt illegal, its violating the terms of a game.

 

*ahem* Who gives a crap if jagex gets mad, as long as they don't know the account names, they can't do shit. make the website known to sites like sythe only, and keep the usernames/passwords DISCREET.

 

They couldn't sue me though, right? They have nothing to sue me for. They could suspend the acc but that's about it. Am I right?

 

Jagex will never sue you, it is unlikely they will even notice you account has been traded, for example the account cygopat, rank 7 or 8 in all of rs, was my friend when he wasn't 99 in each stat, but he sold his account on sythe and that owner got him to rank 8 and jagex never even knew the ownership switched on that account.

 

Yeah I know they never will but I just want to know if it's illegal. Like COULD they sue me if they had to? I don't think they'd have anything to sue me f or.

 

LOL! This made me laugh. I'm not sure if anyone remembers the way Accounts used to be sold (E-Bay) But people did this to say "I'm Not selling a Runescape Account, I'm Selling funny jokes about Runescape" Then they would have the stats, items and prices for their accounts. Eventually Jagex caught on though.

Your not selling the account, your selling the password for the account basically. Like your paying to transfer money onto your account, not for the money its self.

 

Jagex would only lose money if they ended up suing you. Plus you could call it discrimination as they don't sue those people on EBay.
