what are rares doing? rareness, prices

im looking to quit/long break from rs. "this time" i want to buy a rare before i go. ive got a few questions about rares. im only interested in ones i can wear. across my accounts ive got about 30-40m, so im mainly looking at masks and santas but i could probly get up to p-hats if it was worth it.

1) anyone know if their is any info around on the rareness of rares. prices dont necessarily represent the rareness of an item. (ie santa's where once worth less then blue masks)

2) anyone know/predict whether rare prices (what ones) are going up or down?

3) what would you recomend me to buy?

 

rare prices are probably gonna go down. just look at phats. hard to sell now. try to invest in something else

 

I personally think phat will drop about untill the 50-100m mark

 

yeah i agree. p-hats will drop a bit, (white exspecialy) but im not sure about masks and santa's. they have allready droped alot (red mask has halved in price). because rsgp is always increasing and the pvp worlds are becoming less popular i could imagine that they will increase. however i have never correctly predicted anything on rs.

wtf u idiots talking about? phats will never hit 60mill again. i did own 3 purples which i bought for investing. i bought for 92mill, sold 3 for 95mill and now i bought 1 and when it rises again i will buy 2 more. each phat has its limit. and the limit of the purple is around 90mill, yellow purple is around 105mill.

 

well if that's true, then phats will rise in price and fall. the price depends though. i wouldn't recommend phats though

 

leave it in coins best and safest option

 

yeah, dont buy a rare, keep your coins and use them for something productive, like a skill. not a silly hat.

however i still only got 40m so i cant buy a p-hat, im thinking a mask and a santa, or get a bit more and buy 2 mask's + santa.

anyone know the rarity of masks, red has been above blue for a long time but i swear thats cause people like wearing it with dragon. also santa's where once same price as green masks now they are more than blue.

naa i think that santa's are a great investment seeing how close Christmas is

 

they are going to drop, and until their are very few left on runescape the prices will remain low, until the economy gains intrest in them again, masks are kinda the same, since the update the dropped alot, I suggest either selling your whole bank and just keeping the cash, because the prices are dropping on everything basically, so do that to have cash when you come back

 

red mask? ya never know if your gonna quit why would u keep it in coins it dosnt do you any good
