What is your opinion on American Soldiers?

Hey all i was just wondering what your opinions on american soldiers are. i know that they done a good job in Iraq and some of them are good people but.. please watch the video aswell.

Well it doesn't really matter about the country, there are always good and "bad" soldiers.
They are doing a good job, just because some do stupid things like that doesn't mean that they're bad.

Well they fight for other people so I respect them. You can't judge all of them on just a few bad ones. All soldiers are mostly good people

 

Yeah i understand that but i see things like that video and stuff on the news like American soldiers are torturing innocent Iraq citizens. That to me is bad. Even if they are from Iraq no one deserves to be treated like that.

 

Why should you respect them for that? It's not like they're doing it for free or for reasons the average citizen would consider morally right.

 

Watch videos of Muslims torturing U.S. marines and you will take back what you said.

I view the American soldiers as brave people who are fighting for their country. Although when I say "fighting for their country" please don't assume that I support the war(s). It wasn't the soldiers who wanted to invade Iraq; it was the politicians.

As a proud future Marine Corp, Id like to say I approve everything the US military does btw its not just "the army" there is also coast guard, marines, navy >.< you were only reffering to one branch of the military.
They have a job, they all may not believe in what they do, but they need a pay, an education, and a life style.

 

I would fight to my country for free, to risk my life to defend the freedom of every American citizen.

I'm sure MOST Marines and Coasties would agree with this.

You know man after most of the things they have seen over there in war will drive a person crazy. My friends brother got back fro Iraq a little while ago and came back a different man. He sometimes will freak out. Because he is convinced he killed his best friend over in Iraq. The point of this being , war can drive anyone crazy to do things they don't intend to do.

I'm from Michigan and I think our soldiers are the bravest humans alive, they don't get to choose where they go or what they do. Led into combat because our fucked up president didn't do enough coke. There are a few that end up on that liveleak shit, that's not the majority. That's like seeing a british soldier rape someone and believing that every british soldier rape women
