What if the Hover Dam breaks?

I was watching history channel today and it had to with Las Vegas/Hover Dam.
It said that it suplied power to cities it Nevada, Arizona, and California(I think that's all). Now if the hover dam breaks-it shows no signs of it but just saying-what would happen to our country. I think are economy will drop farther down and we would be in trouble.

Here is so facts about the building of the dam. 20,000 people got to work on it and many died in cave in while making it. It was during the great depression so they had no trouble finding workers. Those are just some but what ever.

Please speculate over this and share your thoughts.

 

There would not be any power for most of the South Western U.S.

The Colorado river would really be big and wash out Colorado's small suburban towns or villages.

 

It's really hard to debate something that has no likelihood of happening... it would take a pretty big terrorist attack...

Or major structural problems. Not to mention the loss of life from flooding..Thats alot of water....

 

It has likelihood of happening just not high likelihood...

 

they said that the would trade centers were "plane proof" so it seems pretty likely, if it were from a terrorist attack.

But if a terrorist group was to attack us anywhere i think it would be the Statue of Liberty or the white house itself?

 

The statue of liberty....Nah we got it for free and i don't think it has too big of a meaning,while the hoover dam powers stuff.

 

Why the fuck would they attack the statue of liberty? BTW, the trade centers still may be "plane proof" -- there is NOT irrefutable evidence that it was not a conspiracy, and there is some good evidence supporting these theories. Anyways, no shit sherlock - if the Hoover Dam collapsed, we'd be fucked. But why not talk about stuff like:
D00ds what if America got nuked?
Because the consequences are quite obvious (sorta), and anyways it's not gonna happen. And if it did, no point of talking about it.

 

if it brakes... no more basketball tournaments. also the economy would take a hard hit because of the casinos/major hotels of the USA are in las vegas

 

What would happen? Well, people would die, stuff would be destroyed, . etc.

 

If it breaks, it'll be rebuilt.

 

other stations would have to be turned on, or get on the grid to supple power to the costumers, and mass flooding around the area; New Mexico, Mexico, and Arizona. it won't happen tho.

 

Lol, the economy would do a little bit more than "drop further", and yes, we would be in trouble. BIG trouble.

 

Well lets just say if "Terrorists" *cough*government*cough* attacks the Hoover Dam anytime soon, I gatta make a will. Yes, I do live in Las Vegas, this town is crapier then movies make it seem. Don't bother moving.
