3 Red Rings on my 360 :(

Shit, I bought it in 2006 and the warranty is out now, is there anyway I can repair it instead of buying a console again? Fuck you Microsoft, cheap pieces of shit.

 

They extended the warranties to three years because of the red rings of death. Btw check that your audio and video cables are plugged in.

 

Oh thanks dude, yeah they did extend the warranty, just called and shipping it over there to get a new one, it's going to take about 2 to 3 weeks, but as long as I don't have to pay I'm good.

 

what if i bought my xbox on ebay and i dont have a warranty and get it. do i still get it replaced?

 

This is a sign that you've played it too much. I am happy that it doesn't work anymore. It has protected you from further eye and brain damage. Thank God.

 

I've heard that wrapping it in a towel for an hour while its on helps, You might want to give it a try next time (hopefully not) before you decide to send it. Also, always make sure the cables are tightly secured before you decide to send it. Hope I helped ^_^ have fun playing Wii or PS3, or just staring at the wall for the next 2-3 weeks lol. JK

 

I got the ROD (Ring of Death) on my Xbox 360 too.

I also bought mine in 2006, all you have to do is call mircosoft and tell them you have the ROD. In about 3 weeks they will send you a bag, put your Xbox in it, and send it back. In 3 more weeks they will send it back to you, with a free month of Xbox live.

The whole process takes a long time, but it is better than spending $300 on a new Xbox.

 

Wouldn't that just make it overheat really quickly? I don't own one personally but my friend was complaining a few weeks ago that he got the ROD. I'll tell him to send it in cause he's too lazy to do his own research.

 

Ive had the RROD before. I didnt have the warrenty papers but by giving them the serial number on the back of the xbox they took it anyway(must be some kinda tracking system on warrentys and past problems with the same console)

Sending it in doesn't take 3 weeks bro :O I sent mine in 3 weeks ago and I

called today and they said they'll ship it in less than 3 days and it'll take 1

week to ship. Approx 4-5 weeks.

 

Maybe you can get it repaired by some 360 repairers/modders.

I got the ROD once on my Xbox 360 Premium but i had a best buy warinty so we brought it in and there like yea its deffently broken but we dont have any Xbox 360 Premiums in stock but we have elites in stock you can pay 40 dollars and we will give you a elite
