Road to $10K from Sythe/RS

After making this thread, I broke my nose and got concussed, moved out of the family house I grew up in, had a nice run-in with the law, found an off-site money making method and started up my final semester at uni. I know I’m getting a lot of (deserved) flack about this thread, especially because I updated the thread to $105/10,000 and just left it. To make up for it, here is a small guide/outline from my research for those who need the money.

$0-350 - Goal: 3 Weeks
$350 @ 0.53/M = 660M

To make $120/week from RuneScape/Sythe seems dumb but when you’re at the bottom this is how you need to start. I talked to runescape players about what the best methods to make money are, and compared it to easily-accessed methods on Sythe.


A: Theatre of Blood (7M/hr, 95 Hours to $350, requires Friends)

Talking to friends, there is a heavy entry cost to complete this by purchasing BiS slots, though it is worth it. If you or your friends are not rich on RuneScape (700M+ bank) then you can also complete this in welfare gear at the cost of profit (Assume for simple calculations 70% completion speed) for approx 5M/hr


Cost: Gear, Account

Profits: 7M/Hr


B. Polypore accounts:

Don’t have the budget or account for Theatre of Blood? Start by making polypore accounts. I made these myself when I started out to gain some bankroll. Paying $30-50 per account doesn’t seem great, but given the right computer you can train 10 of these bad boys at once. Don’t have the specs? Don’t worry. The goal here is $250 so even making 5 for the right customer will help you a long ways.


Cost: $0
Profits: $30-50/acc


Building up a Zulrah farm ($350-1250) - Goal: 6 Weeks
$1250 = 2359M


3.5% of the way done, and it only took two weeks! Don’t worry, it takes money to make money. Let’s start botting!


To test Zulrah, I created a Zulrah bot from scratch during a 2-week period during the month of January. My stats were: 80 Ranged, 80 Magic, 56 Prayer, 70 Defense. The budget I used to supply and train the Zulrah account from scratch was 12.5M (Including the cost of 1 bond). After running a popular Tribot script and adjusting the settings to optimize the setup, I profited 825K/hr exclusive of Rares. I am going to use this rate to give you a low estimate of your profits.


COSTS:
Cost of script: $80 for 1 month, 5 simultaneous
Cost to train account: 12.5M
Cost to supply account with gear: 25M
Proxy cost: $1.50/mo/Acc (5)
VIP: $10/mo


Total Setup cost: $330 (Incl. 15 Accounts)
Hours to recoup: 900


Profits:

Max Bot-Hours in 30 Days: 3600
80% Bot Hours: 2880
Max Profit (excl. Rares): 2970M ($1574)
80% Profit (excl. Rares): 2376M ($1259)
Salvage Value: $185.50

*Assessed salvage value: Unban value of 7 accounts, after recovering their gear (25M) and selling the accounts for a very low price (25M) assuming 7-15 accounts either survive or are unbanned.


Net worth: $1444.50+ (80% value)

Total Profit: $15


$15 might not seem like much, but it opens up a world of possibilities. I can supply my own accounts to make and later sell, or look into botting. To have a working botfarm, however, I must look into the costs of Proxies (~$1/proxy) as well as membership (5-6M), script costs (likely to be $10 or so for a month) and VIP perks ($5-10) for botting platforms. Tomorrow I hope to make $10, which should allow me to make a 2-bot farm.
