Looking to buy a laptop...

I was wondering if any of you could help me find a good laptop for my needs, as I really don't know much about shopping for computers. I play a few games, mainly Guild Wars, but I would like the computer to have a pretty great graphics card, I would say top of the line but I have no idea how far that line goes. I am looking for plenty of memory and a quick computer that wont take forever to load my programs, and I would like it to be Vista. I would like it to be a very good laptop in general, and I am willing to spend up to 2,000$. If any of you could suggest a laptop, that would be wonderful. Thanks.

 

My personal suggestion is the Alienware Area-51 m15x. It is a 15 inch screen, but equally powerful as 17 inch laptops. I recently bought one of these and it has been the best laptop I have every had, with the exception of a few other alienware laptops I own, which I like equally much. With the default battery you can get about 2 and a half hours, with an extra battery up to seven. Very powerful laptop, starts at $1299 for the base model (which is still insane), but as you add options it adds up quick. Mine cost $4200 with one terabyte of memory and all the options. Thanks, but I heard that Alienware is very over priced - I am not sure if this is true, but I have heard several people say that. Any other suggestions?

It doesn't seem to really be what I am looking for - that one seems like a good one for taking around with you, but not one for gaming or anything. Thanks though.

I don't want a desktop - it's not that I don't want to carry it around at all, its that a small laptop that is made so its easy to carry around is not for me. I want a good laptop that is not just teeny and made so it can be carried.

I have the dell xps, and I play loads of games.

and use CAD for school.

so i'd say go that route you can get em for around 600-1000

 

That laptop is great with a great price. I heard a lot of good things about it.

it as a sony vaio, i usually am running 3 rsbots, world of warcraft and fireworks on and have no lag at all. i suggest getting it optimized when buying. peace dude

ps if you buy that one you still have money to buy more stuff with it.

 

i got a hp for over a year now it still works great got a nvidia graphic card and 2gb ram

 

if you want mobility mini9 is where its at!

but I don't think you can play guild wars on it :O!
