    That sucks.

It wouldn't have happened if you had one of these though.

Trucks are the only things that belong on dirt roads.

I have the non turbo R33 model. In Queensland you can drive anything that has less than 200kw per tonne output (or something like that), no more than a v6 and no more than 6 cylinders. Anything else is fine i think. I've been pulled over by the cops a couple times since they were checking for defects and everythings been fine each time.

I know that Victoria is different though, that they have bans on just some cars in general and i heard a skyline is on that list. So depending on what state your in depends on what car you can drive on your Ps. But yeah, non turbo skylines are legal here.

    1. V6 and 6CYL are the same thing.

    2. No turbo = no win.

I was simply stating what is in the laws, it says "no more than 6 cylinders and no more than a v6".

I can put a turbo in my car in like 30 minutes if i really needed one. I'll be putting in a turbo or twin turbo once i get on my open license.

Also if you knew anything about cars you'd know that NA cars can still get a shitload of power.

Yes, and I'm saying, that if you stated, that your car has a V6, or is 6CYL; it's the same damn thing.

I really doubt you could put a turbo in, in less than 30 minutes.

Do you even know how long it takes to set the boost to a "medium" on a car with the amount of boost you want to run, to where you won't spin through gears, won't get torque steer, ect?

You don't just hook up turbos and away you go; it just doesn't work like that, unless you buy a pussy kit that only allows so much PSI.

Yes, I know N/A cars still can generate a lot of power, but it is limited in a sense that you can only do so much before you're out of options, but to go F/I.

It's anything with over 6cyl, 200kw ATFW (!=ATW), or a rotary with an engine capacticy bigger than a 12A (forget the actual cc. amount but its something like 1130cc., I think).

I thought it was power vs. weight, although probably changed as that was a pretty stupid rule to begin with.

Tell that to Ken Block; http://video.kenblockracing.com/flash/player/

Dude, that's more far fetched than people who believe comb overs will fool the masses. I could go into specifics (of how you'd pretty much have to rebuild the engine ground up (even if it's straight swap from a front-cut it's still going to take the better part of a day with multiple people to help)), but I won't.

Yeah, they can get moderate power if they have a fairly large cyclinder count (>=6) and have some pretty serious boring and sleeving done to the internals, not to mention countless bolt on modifications. If it was power vs. cost, it's pretty evident who would win.

Boost gauges are a wonderful thing :)

Oh and torque steer, it's a skyline (not fwd shit)!?

You can't just 'hook up' a turbo to an NA motor fullstop ('pussy kit' regardless (WTF is that anyway, don't believe the crap that eGay spins you), if you want to boost a naturally aspirated car, by the time you're done, there's not going to be much (if any) NA motor left at all really.

Yeah it was a bit of an exaggeration. What i was getting at though is my engine is better designed for a turbo than your normal non turbo cars. I would not have to change as many parts as a normal car would require.

Ofcourse a normal person wouldn't try to make an NA as fast as possible. Racing companies might just to prove they have a shitloads fast NA, but i don't think any one normal would unless they had a shitload of money.

Lol yeah, "turbo kits" are bs. On a skyline though, there'd be a lot more NA motor left than on a normal car, thats all i'm getting at.

If i were to put in a turbo i'd be putting in an RB26DET or something. I'd probably just buy an R34 GTR instead which i want to be my second car but by then i might have plans to buy a newer car instead.

Point is, my car beats his so its annoying when he talks shit on my car. I don't care about what car someone is "going" or "planning" to buy, what matters is the car you have right now. I don't plan on keeping my car for ever so don't say "yeah but my future car will beat yours" because by then "my car" will likely be a completely different car.

True, but it's still going to be fairly negligible. A while ago I planned onto building an EJ20T or even EJ25T from my current EJ20, but when you look into it, it's defiantly not worth it unless you're doing a closed deck block, and rebuilding everything from the ground up (EJ27T anyone :nuts:)

Indy cars are NA, you'll actually find a lot of fast cars down at the strip are NA (turbo's are just even faster >_< (stock)).

I'm unsure what you mean here, but there's defiantly not any 'kit' that you can just bolt on without a fair bit of work (read: rebuilding).

    2JZ - no shit!

That's from your opinion, others have different opinions and they're entitled to have them, it really comes down to personal preference. If you buy a car because of someone else, then I wouldn't call it your car.

EDIT: Deja Vu back to mod days :|

I agree with everything your saying.

A turbo kit is just a noob illusion to what someone thinks they can put in their car that will change all the required parts which isn't true. A turbo kit just has the turbo and a couple other basic parts that are pretty much needed to connect it up. People think they can buy a turbo kit and their set, in reality they don't realise they need a LOT more parts than what comes in the turbo kit.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but an opinion can easily be expressed without insulting other peoples cars which is what got me annoyed.
